1st day of the decade ...

Werkwerkwerkwerk · 01/01/2020 07:06

How is everyone spending the 1st day of the decade?
Woke up to a relatively clean house, surprisingly after a nye party !
Bbq sausages for breakfast.
Swim in the pool with DH before getting bombed by kids.
8 pints of water.
Finished my book in the sunshine.
Napped with Ddog in the shade.
DSS in the huff somewhere, not sure why, try and temp him round with takeaway later.
Another swim.
Now sat with an ice cold cider waiting to watch the sunset over the mountains.
What is everyone else doing ?

Just got back in bed.
It's freezing and I'm ill so no cooking today.
With any luck I can stay here ALL day Smile

Happy New year Xmas Grin

YahBasic · 01/01/2020 07:12

We’re heading home after a night in an airport hotel. Going to grab food and stick some washing on, before the inevitable jet lag slump later in front of Netflix.

AuntieStella · 01/01/2020 07:13

I'm about to get into running kit, for a parkrun double

Not sure about the rest of the day. Only one of the DC here, and I suspect she'll do her own thing

Lllot5 · 01/01/2020 07:15

No even up yet.
Nothing I expect. Netflix?

StrawberryIsMyJam · 01/01/2020 07:18

Sleeping. I was working last night.
Happy New Year.

HRH2020 · 01/01/2020 07:21

Dog walk and nice lunch

Bluewavescrashing · 01/01/2020 07:22

Lunch at a local pub after a lazy morning. Luckily neither of us got drunk last night but no need to rush around.

Then taking DCs to the woods to try out their new walkie talkies.

Home for a film. Party tea food.

Damnloginpopup · 01/01/2020 07:34

Heading home in half an hour after a fairly mental 11hr night shift. Plenty of aggression, a few threats and some verbal abuse to start the year off... Back in tonight for some more 😁

Bezalelle · 01/01/2020 07:36

I'm up having a cup of tea with DCat before DH wakes up. Planning a walk in the park later, as well as eating the leftover snacks from our NYE night in last night

Dollywilde · 01/01/2020 07:39

I’m 8 weeks pregnant so spent last night pretending to drink at a friends party and as a result am awake and fresh as a daisy! DH I suspect will be laid low for a number of hours yet Grin

We’ve said we’ll meet friends for a drink at the pub at midday (luckily this is my best friend who knows I’m pregnant so I can happily sit there with my orange juice without faking it). Then I suspect home for a duvet afternoon. There has been talk of a Chinese takeaway for dinner Wink

RosieposiePuddingandPi · 01/01/2020 07:41

At the moment drinking coffee and a litre of water Grin
The kids had us up all night so everyone is exhausted so we're off to our local village pub for breakfast later then a walk with DS's new bike around a nearby lake.
Probably lots of tidying as we've still not recovered from Christmas and the house is a mess.
Very likely another walk in the afternoon and early nights all round!

DrPimplePopper · 01/01/2020 07:54

Just been woke up by the annoying yapping dog over the back, kids miraculously still asleep! (6.45am counts as a 'lie in' here usually.) We'll probably go for a walk somewhere if it stays dry then have Chinese for tea.

Veronicat · 01/01/2020 07:55

Hopefully get out the house for a walk around the Loch. Maybe take the tree down. I aim to have a fairly quiet day Grin

sallysparrow157 · 01/01/2020 08:01

Been up since about half 4 - one of the babies has a cold and is very snuffly so wouldn’t go down again after her feed so she snoozed on my chest - both up and fed now and I’m expressing and waiting for the other half to get up so I can go for a nap - so not dissimilar to the last couple of months of the last decade really!!

Ilikewinter · 01/01/2020 08:04

Working 😢

MsAwesomeDragon · 01/01/2020 08:09

Visiting my parents as it's my dad's birthday. They have planned to have another Christmas dinner because it's my dad's favourite meal.

I'll go for a walk this morning before we set off for this visit.

BatleyTownswomensGuild · 01/01/2020 08:16

Apparently the coffee shop near us is open this morning for restorative bacon butties Grin

commoncoot · 01/01/2020 08:27

Up with the kids (after the baby slept 00:30-04:00 and 04:30-07:30) just chilling out until we go and see my MIL for a few hours then see BIL and SIL.

Talk of lunch out ...

Hoping can convince DH that we need a Chinese tonight. He's back to work after a month off paternity and leave

PocoyoandEllie · 01/01/2020 08:31

Waiting to board a plane to Florida Smile

TheQueef · 01/01/2020 08:31

I want takeaway now Sad
I'd demolish a bacon butty.
Can't someone drop me one off? Y'know start 2020 with a good Samaritan?
Sad

CharlieHorseisKing · 01/01/2020 08:35

Just got up with DDog, Watching TV and having a honey and lemon as I'm abit under the weather.
Will have a quiet morning/ afternoon. DH and DS going to football.
Hosting a buffet tonight for DMum as she was away for Xmas and hasn't had her presents from us yet!...all back to work tomorrow😣

HowlsMovingBungalow · 01/01/2020 08:41

Tea in bed. A walk on the local beach with the dog then a snuggle up on the sofa before a lovely great big fry up for supper.

Camomila · 01/01/2020 08:43

I woke up and took DS to the loo and on the way back thought...'It's the first day of a new decade, how will I spend it' Then I tripped over and went flying Grin
I saved myself and landed boob first on the side of the bed (I'm 36 week pg and avoided landed on my tummy)
DM heard my shriek and came and laughed as it was such a me thing to do!
She's taken DS down for some breakfast and I'm in bed clutching my sore boob for a bit.

We might attempt going for a a walk later.

AuntieMarys · 01/01/2020 08:44

Waking up to a glorious view of the Dale's in a hotel. Looking forward to a 7 mile walk later

Bobbiepin · 01/01/2020 08:57

Currently under a blanket on the sofa while dd watches paw patrol and DH is in bed. I've been under the weather for a few days so will probably stay here or go back to bed for a nap once he's up. I'd love a walk in the park and lunch at the pub but unlikely to happen.
