What are you eating today?

We’ve got family coming over, so I’m making a soup, cold cuts, bread, pate, coleslaw etc.

We are having a buffet
No vegetables in sight today
Just the 4 of us

All sorts of party food when we watching football

maddiemookins16mum · 26/12/2019 09:39

I’m just doing bubble and squeek patties with smoked bacon, poached eggs and beans for 5 of us. Our friends are heading home late morning.
Tonight we’re having slow cooker venison casserole (just prepped it) and mustard mash/green veg.

AuntieMarys · 26/12/2019 09:39

We went out for dinner yesterday. Tonight I'm making a thai veggie curry...an 11 mile walk first

PrincessHoneysuckle · 26/12/2019 09:41

Roast chicken dinner with all the trimmings,we had beef yesterday.

HelloCanYouHearMe · 26/12/2019 09:46

All the party/buffet food today... mini pizzas, spring rolls, nachos and dips, cold meats, bread, baked camemberts etc...

I enjoy boxing day more than xmas day tbh!

Tumbleweed101 · 26/12/2019 10:43

Cold meats and buffet food.

listsandbudgets · 26/12/2019 10:52

I will have a look in the fridge in a bit. I dint think it will be hard putting a meal together.

I'm still in bed though.. at nearly 11am Blush

pinkyboots1 · 26/12/2019 10:59

I've had fruit and yoghurt for breakfast and later we (me and DP, kids going to their Father's) are going to see my Mum and younger brother for a light buffet lunch. It'll be snack type stuff, cheese etc and lots of meats and salad.
This evening we'll have Christmas Dinner 'pickings'

wheresmyhairytoe · 26/12/2019 11:22

Christmas sandwich for dinner- turkey, stuffing, pigs in blankets, pickled onions and ready salted crisps in white bread. Best sandwich ever.
Then turkey curry for tea.

1happyhippie · 26/12/2019 11:26

Were having turkey and stuffing hot baguettes for lunch.
A buffet type dinner later when some family and friends arrive.
I love Boxing Day!

Stompythedinosaur · 26/12/2019 11:42

We're having leftovers and cheese. I will make chicken noodle soup for the dc.

isseywith4vampirecats · 26/12/2019 11:48

cold beef from yesterday, nice ham, nice Wensledale cheeses salad and a pecan roulade for afters

ScreamingValalalalahLalalalah · 26/12/2019 11:55

Leftover smoked salmon and cheese for lunch, there are also some mini pork pies.

Dinner I will be making a casserole from the remaining goose, gravy and vegetables, with all the leftover potatoes mashed up and the last of the bread sauce if anyone wants it.

The other half of the Christmas Eve Yule Log for pudding and I will whip up what's left of the double cream to go with it.

That should empty my fridge of leftovers.

PottersonDayz · 26/12/2019 11:57

We're off to PILs for a Boxing Day buffet

Genzeee · 26/12/2019 12:55

Reheated leftovers. So basically another Christmas dinner

KingscoteStaff · 26/12/2019 13:01

We dole out the days, so one family brought everything for C Eve, 2 families shared C Day and now it’s family 4 with a massive ham, homemade sausage rolls, yesterday’s leftovers and then pavlova!

FurryDogMother · 26/12/2019 13:04

My favourite meal of the year: Cold turkey and ham slices, with hot mashed potato, stuffing, salad leaves, fresh tomatoes, cranberry sauce and pickled walnuts. Mince pies and Bailey's cream for afters.

moglovesmincepies · 26/12/2019 13:05

Picking at leftovers for lunch then takeaway for tea yay!

BarbedBloom · 26/12/2019 13:05

Party food and lots of cheese

lucysmam · 26/12/2019 13:12

Freezer party food here, with pickles, ALL the cheeses, nuts, dips & then sweets/cheesecake for afters.

It's help yourself day so if what they want isn't out, they have to rummage & find it themselves Xmas Smile

thethoughtfox · 26/12/2019 13:27

Christmas sandwich: whole Christmas dinner on a sandwich. Some years I made extra roasties and stuff just for this.

Baked camembert with rosemary and honey and meats and breads to go with it for dinner followed by uneaten Christmas puddings.

AragonsGirl · 26/12/2019 13:30

Bbq! Tradition at my in-laws where we’re spending Christmas. FIL currently outside in the rain lighting the bbq

Sn0tnose · 26/12/2019 13:33

DH is having turkey & chips. I’m having a bit of turkey, beef & ham with bubble and squeak. Normally we’d have pigs & stuffing as well but we’ve just realised we forgot to take them out of the freezer.

delilahbucket · 26/12/2019 13:41

Christmas dinner round two for lunch with all the leftovers. Doubt we'll want a meal this evening so the cheeseboard is likely to make an appearance.

2littleChicks · 26/12/2019 13:43

Boxing Day food for me is like the absolute highlight of fucking Christmas. Cold meats, gammon, Turkey, coleslaw, mountains of mash, quiche, pickles, breadsticks, pate, warm bread, salads, cheese, cheese board, nuts, snacks. Fucking all of it. In my face. All day.
