The cork's not budging. Is there anything I can do?

Well I’m not going to judge you as a weakling. I can’t use a cork screw, if DH is going out he has to open my wine first! Blush

Sometime Champagne/prosecco corks can be tough, they make my hand sore from all the twisting. Keep at it and they eventually open......

I know it's done down but for anyone in a similar fix tomorrow - or any time.

Kitchen scissors with the grips in the handles to grip the cork always does it for me.

Cheers!

Is it San Leo from Waitrose? I stopped buying that one because I couldn't open it.

I have a random selection of cavas and cremants from sainsburys so I'm curious as to whether I can get into them tomorrow. Might come back to this thread tomorrow if I need the tips.

I had to buy a special gadget from vacu vin for about a fiver. I love it and it makes bottles so much easier to open

It is a San Leo! I have another bottle of it, too. Won't get it again!
