Is this baby No 4? I wonder if they would given he's supposed to be environmentally friendly and feels 3 is enough ( so it was said....)

Should say it's a 'Royal Source' telling the Mail.

Not sure what else it could be other than a baby tbh?

SproutMuncher · 22/12/2019 21:54

Separation, given the rumours of his straying?

redexpat · 22/12/2019 21:56

Oh they wouldnt announce that at christmas surely?

JinglingHellsBells · 22/12/2019 21:57

I def think it's not a separation and would be totally crass to announce over Christmas hols given they are at Sandringham. The poor Queen has had enough to deal with this year.

The 'source' suggested it was more to do with possible charity work or something she might be doing around studying child development - maybe she's going to do some training or work/ new charity?

Personally I don't believe any rumours of an affair- it's all media driven and drivel!

I think it will be something to do with one of their charities. Either that or William and Harry will be taking part in next years I'm a celeb strictly dancing on ice😁🍷

VanyaHargreeves · 22/12/2019 21:59

The Mail is talking bollocks I suspect

If she were pregnant we'd already know due to her having HG

If it was divorce they'd never announce at Christmas

Stronger likelihood of Charles becoming Regent and thus themselves becoming Prince and Princess Of Wales

VanyaHargreeves · 22/12/2019 22:04

Having read the article she is clearly taking on a charity that will be a big deal give her a shining role somewhere and bring her lots of praise.

They have really done well for PR in the last 12 months

Christmaspug · 22/12/2019 22:11

I like them ,they are good for our country, they seem down to earth

Justmuddlingalong · 22/12/2019 22:12

I think William is becoming a bus driver and Kate's got a part time position is Asda.

MarySidney · 22/12/2019 22:23

Stronger likelihood of Charles becoming Regent and thus themselves becoming Prince and Princess Of Wales

Charles would still be Prince of Wales in the (highly unlikely) event he became Regent. But any such announcement would come from Buckingham Palace and would be a very big deal. It wouldn't be about William and Catherine.

I wouldn't be surprised if they went for no.4, but I don't think they'd make any announcement at Christmas because the focus is supposed to be on the Queen.

IcedPurple · 22/12/2019 22:24

The royals don't 'tease' pregnancy announcements like reality stars. Plus, Kate suffers from severe HG and always cancels appearances early on in her pregnancies, but she's been quite active over the past several weeks. Besides I doubt they would want 4 kids in the upcoming 'slimmed down' monarchy era.

I'm guessing it's related to her 'royal' duties. A solo international tour fo Kate, perhaps? Agree with a poster above that their PR has been an art form over the past several months - like the very best PR, you barely notice it's happening, but you can be sure it is.

ReanimatedSGB · 22/12/2019 22:25

More likely that Prince Phil has finally dropped off his perch, surely.

halocompanach · 22/12/2019 22:26

How do you know?

isadoradancing123 · 22/12/2019 22:27

It will just be work or some charity thing, nothing exciting

halocompanach · 22/12/2019 22:29

They've probably been told to do something for some positive publicity.

As for 'the poor Queen' having a lot to put up with this year, and? Take a look at what people up and down the country have had to put up with this year without all the luxury that the Queen has. My heart bleeds for her.

MissMoan · 22/12/2019 22:33

Do you have a link, OP?

BiarritzCrackers · 22/12/2019 22:38

I don't really follow this closely enough to recall the details, but I do remember someone like the Mail royal correspondent tweeting something earlier this year or last year along the lines of "OMG!!! MASSIVE royal news incoming!!!!" and it turned out to be some rather underwhelming charity work development.

kinsss · 22/12/2019 22:38

We have decided to take George out of short trousers and silly shirts and allow him to dress normally. That's all lol.

Isitme13 · 22/12/2019 22:41

Just because Kate has had HG in all pregnancies so far doesn’t mean she will again - I had HG in my first 3 pregnancies, and then not in my 4th (and even weirder - barely a hint of morning sickness at all, which really freaked me out).

EvilPea · 22/12/2019 22:41

I agree their pr has been shit hot this year. Kate’s looked happy, smiley and confident so I think it will be her upping her charity roles.

EustaciaPieface · 22/12/2019 22:42

Maybe they’ll announce that they’re hosting a straightforward shooting weekend?

BlueEyedFloozy · 22/12/2019 22:45

HG doesn't necessarily occur in every pregnancy - I never had with #1 but did with #2.

I imagine it'll be a children's charity as there's been a lot of PR around Kate's work with kids this year - possibly surrounding bereavement given all the talk about William and Harry's experience.

TrainspottingWelsh · 22/12/2019 22:45

The mail is going to announce they claim tax credits and the migration to universal credit is going to hit them hard.
