What are you getting your DH for Christmas?

I need some ideas!

Preferably no more than £100 and payable by PayPal - this is where I have my funds and cannot transfer them! Oh, and quick delivery as I cannot leave the house? Tall order I know! Blush

I did give him a gift experience for fathers day but he hasn't used it :(

Can you transfer the money to him as a gift ? It's a lot of money to possibly waste if you choose something he doesn't want ?

BuffaloCauliflower · 21/12/2019 18:59

Got mine a shirt last minute, we weren’t going to do anything as not bothered about presents

delilahbucket · 21/12/2019 19:00

Some kind of experience where you can print the voucher? I've got a Japanese cooking class for dp via Air BnB.

Well that would be a splashing out amount, iyswim? The experience was £80 so I dont want to do that again, agreed.

A few smaller bits added together would be fine too.

I have got him a small wavy tube guy like you see in American car lots as a nod to his current love of a certain tv series, but that was only a tenner and more of a joke present.

Also three small custom label beers.

But that's it! So really need to add to it!

I’ve got mine a turntable which allows transfer to pc for his vinyl collection

DisgruntledGuineaPig · 21/12/2019 19:09

Ask him?

Dh asked for a new work smart rucksack. I was looking at designer things, but he wanted an osprey one that would fit his laptop and had comfy straps (£55 including delivery, fabulous! )

I'm also getting dh fancy socks and the dcs have got him a leather travel wallet.

If money is tight, dont waste it, hes got something to open, ask him.

namechangenumber2 · 21/12/2019 19:10

I've just been and bought him some fancy craft beers. We don't normally do presents but this morning he announced he's bought me something!!

Trinpy · 21/12/2019 19:11

I've got my dh aftershave, slippers, a couple of jumpers and some chocolate. Not madly exciting but all safe options and things I know he will use.

In previous years I've bought him DVDs, pjs, t shirts themed to favourite tv shows/music, an ipod, socks and pants, cookery books, keyring with a nice photo of him and the dcs in - if that's any help!!

GooodMythicalMorning · 21/12/2019 19:13

Buy something from Amazon, they take PayPal

notangelinajolie · 21/12/2019 19:13

Went halves on a Bose speaker thing with DD2.
It was £140 something (so £70 each) from Currys with 6 months free Spotify. Slightly cheaper at the Bose shop but Curry's price matched it.

notangelinajolie · 21/12/2019 19:16

Posted too soon. Would think that Amazon may be cheaper and they do take PayPal.

NotYourTypicalNerd · 21/12/2019 19:16

I would ask, but he says he doesn't want anything every time!

Socks have just reminded me that I bought him a sock and pants subscription and it has never turned up and been months now .hmm. will have to check on that!

Amazon is good as I have prime! I have never noticed a paypal option tho! That is handy!

Rucksack is a good shout. He commutes so has a backpack, but . could upgrade it?

Game of Thrones/Whisky themed presents this year.
New beautiful Folio Society of the book, x2 bottles of the GoT whiskies and some lovely new whisky glasses.
And a jumper to wear while partaking of them (not GoT themed).

YouJustDoYou · 21/12/2019 19:18

A special knife. £12.

Strokethefurrywall · 21/12/2019 19:19

Got DH a Hawkins AV tshirt, a back massager, giant tube of Jaffa cakes, baseball cap and whiskey.

I mostly do token gifts because we have most everything we could want or need frankly!

NotYourTypicalNerd · 21/12/2019 19:32

How do you pay by paypal on Amazon please? I just tried it for a small gift for DC while browsing for DH and I cannot see it anywhere?

OP posts:
NotYourTypicalNerd · 21/12/2019 19:35

It says they don't accept it?

Dp is getting a jumper, Bluetooth shower radio, a bin for his car and lip salve. We’re doing small gifts this year.

I got DH a decent Bluetooth speaker from John Lewis. You could get it delivered to Waitrose for free by Monday. I presume they take PayPal.

Deckthehallswith · 21/12/2019 20:37

I didn't spend a lot either so just got him a stocking and in it will be an Xbox game, a CD, a diary, and then the usual stocking fillers

Cineraria · 21/12/2019 20:45

I got mine shirts. He looks good in a slim fit shirt with a grandad collar and there are lots in the shops right now, so I got a few. He also has a stocking with fancy chocolate and a salted caramel liqueur from Hotel Chocolat, some other sweets he likes too.

Armi · 21/12/2019 20:50

A towelling dressing gown. His old one is knackered and I know he’ll use it every day. Many thousands of Maltesers.

francienolan · 21/12/2019 20:55

I got mine a cocktail making set and cocktail recipe book.

ElfAndSafety1 · 21/12/2019 21:01

I don't think amazon do take PayPal? I use it every day and have never been able to pay by PayPal.

I've got mine:
Slippers
Dressing gown
T shirts
Bath bombs (so he can stop stealing mine!)
Boxers
Socks
Aftershave - I order this this morning via the fragrance shop next day delivery and paid by PayPal?
Photo book
Lots of goodies from hotel chocolat

My list seems super boring Grin I did plan to get him an Apple Watch but he said he didn't actually like them after asking for one last year so I had no idea what to do after that
