Where are you??

You're not in with the rest of my stash. Nor are you in with birthday stash. Or with the ukelele. Or with the guitar (imagine how tuneful my house is going to be on Christmas day Xmas Hmm Xmas Grin ).

Where else might I have put you??

Just tell us your new stash place here - assuming your DC aren't on here - and then we can all go (the equivalent of) "It's behind you" when you next lose it!!

I am now desparately trying to remember the phrase that your DC always used, that mine used, that we had such a laugh about a few years ago........... I hope I am not losing my marbles, 'cos I'd rather lose Crimbo pressies!!!!!!!!!!!!

I now think it was: "What, Mum?"

Pleas reply & reassure an old woman!!! Grin

lucysmam · 14/12/2019 10:07

@magimedi it was indeed "what" or "what, mum?" Xmas Grin

Unfortunately dd1 is very nearly a teenager now and it's changed to with no words Xmas Hmm

Thank you!

Yes, the eye roll is worse!!

Never mind, teens pass. Mine are middle aged now& that's lovely - except I tend to get told what is best for me!!

Ah I thought the title was a cute chat up line that someone had used on you Lucysmam!!

lucysmam · 14/12/2019 10:34

Xmas Grin I'm definitely not a lost Christmas present that wants wrapping! But the suggestion made me laugh.

@magimedi I'll look forward to that as she gets older then Xmas Hmm

Well I was coming on to confess that I ran away with WeBuiltCisCityOnSexistRoles's DH's stocking, but I decided to come back.

The stocking still doesn't want to come home as it likes to cause massive inconvenience to everyone connected with it. Basically it's a twat, that's why I came back to you.

WeBuiltCisCityOnSexistRoles · 14/12/2019 10:49

If anyone hears from the stocking please would you let me know?

(I'm so tempted to start a thread that it's 11am and the stocking hasn't come from its Christmas party, and hasn't texted me and it has form for this)

lucysmam · 14/12/2019 13:01

Oh dear :( Has the stocking returned yet @WeBuiltCisCityOnSexistRoles?

OP posts:
WeBuiltCisCityOnSexistRoles · 14/12/2019 14:07

Nope! It's very annoying. I do have memory problems and meant to make a note of where I hid it, but I forgot to make the note too HmmGrin

I have a small house so no doubt it will turn up somewhere! The fucking sellotape dispenser on the other hand....

ToEarlyForDecorations · 14/12/2019 18:04

Did you put it with any remaining gifts that were to go in the stocking ?

I'm so tempted to start a thread that it's 11am and the stocking hasn't come from its Christmas party, and hasn't texted me and it has form for this

Oh please please do !

Winterdaysarehere · 14/12/2019 20:33

Just realised I have lost a parcel also op.
Just reordered everything - only came to £15 but so mad with myself!!

ChristmasCroissant · 14/12/2019 20:37

Glad you found it, OP. I have very few places to stash present and still manage to lose some, and I'm often running out to the boot of my car in the freezing cold at night. I haven't even started wrapping yet, that's the worst bit for me.

lucysmam · 14/12/2019 22:13

@ChristmasCroissant I have very few stash places too & had already searched that one! Clearly I did it with my eyes closed Xmas Hmm.

I haven't wrapped much, just the ones for other people -it's quite hard to work out when to wrap when you're all out of the house all day, and the kids aren't toddlers any more so don't go to bed very much before me any more. I have two afternoons (in reality only an hour each though) free this week so am going to cram in as much as I can then I think.

ChristmasCroissant · 14/12/2019 22:25

It was just very well hidden due to your fantastic hiding skills, lucysmam. Considering you found it in the same year that you bought it that counts as a win in my book Xmas Grin

Redshoeblueshoe · 14/12/2019 22:33

Well now you've solved that I need to find my cheese footballs. Although I am beginning to think that I must have left them in the shop Xmas Blush

mumwon · 15/12/2019 09:42

we have lost the blessed box/bag that the Christmas decoration were in but found the carefully packed old (immaculate) clean carefully stored baby clothes I wanted to give for dgc - in attic (I wasn't talking to dh for a few hours he insisted they weren't in attic) every blessed year the decorations disappear & are usually found just after Christmas.
