I love those caves!

OP posts:
rhubarbcrumbles · 13/12/2019 13:55

It's too bland and grey. What are the caves originally from?

TeacupDrama · 13/12/2019 14:02

it seems to have loads of the period character stripped out and looks like a good quality homes under the hammer job all grey and white
not sure about the market for family homes in city centres with no garden, ok there is a tiny patio on top of utility room and some off street parking

daisyphase · 13/12/2019 14:02

They only paid £182k for it in 2017!

AhoyMrBeaver · 13/12/2019 14:03

There are hundreds of ancient caves underneath Nottingham. They were used as dwellings, workplaces and all sorts of things eg air raid shelters, escape routes from the castle.

DoesntLeftoverTurkeySoupDragOn · 13/12/2019 14:03

Whoever fitted out that house should be ashamed of themselves. It's dreadful. Bland and soulless.

That said, i want caves!

FenellaVelour · 13/12/2019 14:04

100% haunted

kjhkj · 13/12/2019 14:07

I suspect it will be bought by a business. It's just not a residential street.

cantfindname · 13/12/2019 14:07

Totally soulless. Such a shame to have turned it into a bland, characterless place. I suspect it could have been very lovely, albeit in a less than ideal location.

PuppyMonkey · 13/12/2019 14:08

I’d prefer something in The Park estate itself if I had that kind of money to spare.

kjhkj · 13/12/2019 14:10

Pretty sure it's still classed as The Park

Ever so sorry but it really isn't. My office used to be directly opposite (so slightly closer to The Park) and that isn't classified as the park either. You need to get through the park gates to be in The Park.

Julianne65 · 13/12/2019 14:13

It's an amazing space but they have taken all the character out of it with their refurb (except for the beams). It's needs a more individual look. Please no more grey! It looks tacky now. Bloody Mrs Hinch.

NemophilistRebel · 13/12/2019 14:14

Wow love it!

Disfordarkchocolate · 13/12/2019 14:15

I've seen worse refurbishment's but I am so over grey. Can we have warm and welcoming, please?

Justaboy · 13/12/2019 14:16

Seems basements more than caves, but neat apart from above ground level!..

MistyCloud · 13/12/2019 14:18

The caves are quite cool, but the house as a whole is fugly inside.

@kjhkj

I actually can't believe anyone has spent that amount of money on it and hopes to sell it for that in that location as a single home. It should have been flats.

Why ? Confused

diddl · 13/12/2019 14:22

It should be so nice insideSad

And no garden?

kjhkj · 13/12/2019 14:22

Why ? confused

Because its in a dreadful location. Not a residential area at all and for that price in Nottingham people are looking for a family forever home. If they'd kept it split into flats they would have sold more easily.

timeforawine · 13/12/2019 14:22

Gorgeous!

MistyCloud · 13/12/2019 14:23

@kjhkj

Oh fair enough. You may have a point.

Jaxhog · 13/12/2019 14:23

I think I could manage to live there
I was thinking that...
Maybe the literary genius would rub off?

kjhkj · 13/12/2019 14:33

That house is here (slightly further up the hill)

Not your regular "end of terrace, 4 bedded house"
LellyMcKelly · 13/12/2019 14:34

Why on earth would you take a house like that and turn in into a Barratt Home? It looks like a waiting room.

kjhkj · 13/12/2019 14:36

It looks like a waiting room.

It will probably end up as dental surgery/beauty salon type of business so that's not necessarily bad.

UtterlyUnimaginativeUsername · 13/12/2019 14:38

They've killed it with bland.

PixieDustt · 13/12/2019 14:40

Hate the caves. Perfect for someone into BDSM Wink.
Also didn't realise the properties were priced like that in Nottingham.
