Erm...does anyone else see a fanny on this John Lewis Christmas tree?

No wonder Edgar’s excitable...

I see an oyster

Bluerussian · 23/11/2019 08:00

Looks like a partly decomposed ear.

EskewedBeef · 23/11/2019 08:00

I thought ear at first, then oyster.

SlightlySleepy · 23/11/2019 08:01

My first thought was an ear

Pinkarsedfly · 23/11/2019 08:01

Just me and my filthy mind then.

It’s not the most attractive thing I’ve ever seen.

That’s what oysters look like. That slightly labial appearance is partly why they’re considered an aphrodisiac.

Fairylea · 23/11/2019 08:08

Whatever it looks like WHY would anyone want that hanging on their tree? Since when are oysters or vulvas or whatever festive?!

Pinkarsedfly · 23/11/2019 08:09

It’s possibly the ugliest tree decoration I’ve ever seen. And I grew up in the 80s, so that’s saying something.

Have you never heard the story of the christmas Labia/Oyster before.... It's a cracker. Hangs head in shame.

Lindy2 · 23/11/2019 08:15

Well that's unusual and exceedingly ugly.

It looks more like a deformed ear to me. I wonder how well that range is selling. Confused

littlebillie · 23/11/2019 08:15

They have a whole food range aubergine etc. What were the buyers thinking?

Fairylea · 23/11/2019 08:27

Well the Aubergine emoji is symbolic for a penis in teenage text speak so I’m told. So maybe someone at John Lewis is having a bit of a laugh....

I've coughed up tonsil stones that look not dissimilar. Never occurred to me to hang them on a Christmas tree though.

ByeByeMissAmericanPie · 23/11/2019 09:04

I remember going to Harrods about 5 years ago with a friend and laughing at the absurdity of hanging a frosted lobster on your tree, but you, OP, win the prize!

Pinkarsedfly · 23/11/2019 09:32

I’m looking forward to next year’s Festive Whelk.

QueenOfWinterfell · 23/11/2019 09:38

Definitely an ear. Ugly AF

SimonJT · 23/11/2019 09:40

It’s an oyster, but then I’ve never seen a human fanny 🤷🏽‍♂️

Sparklingbrook · 23/11/2019 09:41

There are some really odd decorations around this year. I think there's an Autumn theme with squirrels and foxes or something. Oh and I have seen llama decorations. Confused

motorcyclenumptiness · 23/11/2019 09:44

Nothing says Christmas like a mollusc

Sparklingbrook · 23/11/2019 09:50

Behold the Christmas grasshopper.

Pinkarsedfly · 23/11/2019 09:52

I don’t mind a festive fox. At least they’re known to rock up on Christmas cards.

But a grasshopper..?

OP posts:
motorcyclenumptiness · 23/11/2019 09:56

No fighting over who gets a leg with a Christmas grasshopper

CountFosco · 23/11/2019 09:58

I quite like a strange Christmas Decoration, we got a sparkly gecko from JL last year. But a vulva oyster seems a step too far even for me.

CountFosco · 23/11/2019 10:00

Where did you see the llama? I'm totally up for a Christmas Llama, but MIL comes from the land of llamas so we can justify it!
