Is my 6 year old too old for play Mobil?

6 (and a half) year old has asked for the play Mobil Noah’s ark for Christmas.
We’ve never had play Mobil before so I’ve no idea if it’s suitable. Online it’s days from ages 4 to 12 years but is it too babyish?

It is not too babyish. We have had lots of playmobil and all my children played with it until they were around nin. My youngest daughter aged nearly ten and her friends still occasionally like it.

No definitely not too young, he still has loads of time to enjoy it 😊.

I would see if there is a Lego ark. More interest for my 6 yo. But if that's what they want, then playmobil is lovely.

Obviously I don't know your child but the general population iof 6 year olds imo are the perfect age for playmobil.

I realise that's not very helpful, maybe find out more about why he thinks he would like it, has he played with it somewhere else?

I'm 39, I love Playmobil! Not babyish and a great present!

Mine had and played with Playmobil from about 3 to 9 (and now and then beyond). It lasts (provided they look after the small bits and don't keep ripping the hair off the people). We've kept ours and it's brought out now when small DC visit. They all love it.

Dd 9 still loves her Playmobil

My 10 year old niece still loves her playmobil. Her big brother at 13 still gets some play out of his as well.

The ark is £25 including VAT in Costco at the moment if you have access (one might have fallen into my trolley this morning).

I think it's the perfect age - we bought DD some when she was too young (4 oe 5) and it was too fiddly for her so she got frustrated with it and never got into. DD2 found it aged 8 and loves it!

DD is 10 and still plays with it. It has loads of tiny little fiddly bits so I'd really recommend a Really Useful Box or similar with a clipped lid to keep it all in one place!

DD is 9 and loves Playmobil (and Lego Friends) - its what she has asked for as a present this year as well x

My 2 youngest (aged 10 and 12) still play with it. We don't have any at home but my Mum has tons including the old playpeople sets I had as a child so everytime we are there they get it all out and play for hours.

Perfect age to be getting into Playmobil. Will probably be played with for the next 2 to 3 years.

Agree with everyone else - dd is 7 and loves it, and I predict she will play with it for at least a couple more years.......
