Name changed as this is very obvious if you know me.

I saw this on twitter this evening and thought it'd be nice with one month left of the decade to have a chat about what everyone's done.

I have:
Seen my brother go to uni
Said goodbye to a beloved pet
Moved out
Wrote 2 cars off
Moved back home
Saw my brother move to London
Watched most of my closest friends have babies
Saw another one move to Australia
Got a full time job
Met the love of my life
Moved out again
Met the second love of my life
Bought a house to keep the second love (obviously my pup)
Got angry at people who didn't vote... A few times
Got a new job
Watched my parents sell my childhood home
Crashed again (4 car crashes in total)
Bought a hella cool car
Saw my brother move to New York
Cried a lot as second love needed a hip operation
Had a baby (met the 3rd love of my life)

My 20s have been rather busy 😂

Also:
Read a lot
Joined the gym (a few times)
Made some life long friends

thewalrus · 21/11/2019 15:09

I haven't done much compared to most on here. The late 00s, especially 2008, were a period of life-changing events and since then everything has been relatively stable. So...

returned to work after being sahm
got a dog
taken my family on a once-in-a-lifetime trip to the other side of the world
entered my 40s
started exercising more regularly.

Generally life is good, happy to have got through a decade without major difficulties or loss. Makes me think the next one might not be quite so stable though.
