DH is working away, my health condition has flared up today and I just feel meh. What is a good cheer-up movie or series to watch please? (I need a break from dystopia!)

Always be my maybe

I watched the film Bridesmaids over the weekend which made me laugh. Queer Eye in Japan, obviously not a film or series but I love those guys. The transformations are astounding - think I need them to do a makeover on me Smile both on Netflix.

I enjoyed the White Collar series and Scorpion, also on Netflix. If you saw the first three series of Lucifer on Amazon Prime, the fourth is on Netflix but hard to pick up the story if you haven't, Luther if you haven't seen on TV.

Hope you find something you enjoy.

Mum was lovely
Not sure if it was Netflix or iPlayer
Santa Clarita diet good fun

TerfinUSA99 · 20/11/2019 15:49

Wine Country or Murder Mystery (Netflix)
Ghosts (iPlayer)
All funny, lightweight and intelligent-ish Grin

JPharm · 20/11/2019 15:50

‘The Good Place’ is fantastic

Makegoodchoices · 20/11/2019 16:02

Ghosts and The Good Place are brilliant.

Also What we do in the Shadows (comedy vampires) was very funny - both film and tv series were good.

Waterandlemonjuice · 20/11/2019 16:02

What sort of thing do you like?

Mooserp · 20/11/2019 16:03

Grace and frankie
Crazy ex girlfriend

On Netflix

Wall2WallArseholes · 20/11/2019 16:05

Jane the virgin on Netflix, you'll forget about any troubles and be thrown into the insane world of telenovas! 😁

Wall2WallArseholes · 20/11/2019 16:05

That's supposed to be a happy face! Stupid phone!

bubs80 · 20/11/2019 16:07

Pottersville movie on Netflix

Bluewavescrashing · 20/11/2019 16:14

Ah thanks for the suggestions!

I love Bridesmaids 😊
Love dark humour but not when home alone so need something more fluffy. The Good Place is great but I've watched them all unfortunately!
So comedy, nothing scary, easy to follow please 🙂

I just watched The Cockfields on Gold. Only three episodes unfortunately but very good, similar in tone to Mum if you’ve seen that.

feelingchange · 20/11/2019 16:18

Another vote for crazy ex girlfriend and also unbreakable kimmy Schmidt

Bluewavescrashing · 20/11/2019 16:24
