Here is another thread to discuss the PA interview and its repercussions.

The sooner the whole rotten dynasty is gone, the better.

I agree. They aren't good people and if they were, they wouldn't have been hanging around with and enabling so many pedophiles.

MarshallPNutt · 22/11/2019 08:26

they'll hold it on some private italian island somewhere as opposed to London

Didn't they ask permission to get married in Italy and were refused by the Q?

BertrandRussell · 22/11/2019 08:31

Another thing to remember is that there had always been a murky confusion in the aristocracy about homosexuality and a liking for boys. Not children but definitely underage boys. It was (is?) tied up with the Ancient Greeks and boarding school. And not considered at all the same as being “properly” homosexual.

The rumours I heard all those years ago by a university friend who became journalist that it wasn’t Edward that was gay but Andrew. Maybe he’s bi who knows or maybe it’s a video of a threesome - there is IMO something else bothering him. Unfortunately no longer in touch with friend to verify but there must be some journalists on here who may have a view.

ajandjjmum · 22/11/2019 08:55

I've heard/read comments over the years that one of the Queen's DC is gay, and it's not the one you'd automatically think.

7Days · 22/11/2019 08:56

It's definitely easier to spin 'Partying' with pretty teenage 'groupies' than anything worse.
Times have changed in the last 20years, but still to a lot of people, a prince with a party girl is just par for the course

Powergower · 22/11/2019 09:02

Absolutely disgusting that Andy gets any commission from pitch@palace. He is thoroughly disgraceful and always has been. His wife and daughters are equally selfish and entitled and thoroughly dislikable. I'm so pleased the queen has banned him from going to Bahrain. He really is absolutely tone deaf if he thought he'd be able to carry on fainting around the world like that.

The rf seem absolutely incredulous that the gen public are horrified and bravo to the media for holding them to account. I'm absolutely sick of the the lot of them. Greedy, grabby, entitled, moaning selfish idiots. I can't see this carrying for another generation, especially now with social media and the spread of news as it is. Absolutely right that Charles should be quaking in his boots about the future of the monarchy.

ThatLibraryMiss · 22/11/2019 09:10

BertrandRussell, I know someone very credible who was at university with one of his boyfriends. I've always thought it sad that anyone still feels unable to come out of the closet.

WineOrGinOrBoth · 22/11/2019 09:10

Do the York girls come across as thoroughly dislikable & entitled? I’m not sure I see them in that way. I’ve no idea if they are selfish.

Dard · 22/11/2019 09:32

Maxwell probably in Bahrain that's where Michael Jackson went

Roussette · 22/11/2019 09:39

Didn't they ask permission to get married in Italy and were refused by the Q?

That will change very rapidly given the last week's headlines. No one wants booing at their wedding do they? And I can imagine that happening.

I don't find the daughters horrible, I have a smidgeon of sympathy with them. I am however surprised how they so much toe the party line with their parents, I would've thought just one of them would branch out and be a bit more forthright.

Who remembers Marina Ogilvy? A famous royal black sheep. Here's an article of all that went on then and Marina's daughter now. I loved that she was such a rebel.

paradyning · 22/11/2019 09:41

But Marina was going to spill the beans re: DofE and Princess Alexander do very quickly got welcomed back into the fold. Allegedly.

paradyning · 22/11/2019 09:42

Alexandra!!

SirHumphreyDrinkalot · 22/11/2019 09:44

I met PA and we were in a group of about 6 people. One guy was a helicopter pilot who was openly gay. When they were introduced, PA became very excited, went bright red in the face and started talking about the foot operated gears in the helicopter. He described one control movement and said something along the lines of “when you do this manoeuvre you have to have one leg here and the other leg right up to your chest” and he lifted his right leg and, no other words, did some upright man spreading to the helicopter pilot. At the time I thought PA had snorted something as it was very odd behaviour at a formal drinks reception and I came home with a clear impression that he was interested in the helicopter pilot’s chopper.

This was in 1992.

Allegedly obviously, hello lawyers 👋

Puzzledandpissedoff · 22/11/2019 09:45

Interesting that Amanda Thirsk, Andrew's private secretary, has supposedly been "sacked", but actually moved to a job at Pitch@Palace

Since with most palace sackings it's game over, that makes me wonder how much she, too, knows ...

Roussette · 22/11/2019 09:47

Oh and... apparently PPhilip had a 20 year long affair with Marina's mother Princess Alexandra of Kent.

www.royalfoibles.com/the-cousin-who-betrayed-the-queen/

What gets me is...
all families have skeletons, black sheep, etc etc but it is absolutely nothing on a par with the Royal Family. They are mired in controversy and gobsmacking events.

QueenOfTheAndals · 22/11/2019 09:49

@Roussette The Philip and Alexandra stories have been out there for years but she and the queen are still close. I can't believe HM would forgive a betrayal quite so close to home!

ajandjjmum · 22/11/2019 09:53

Powergower
I didn't know he got anything from Pitch@Palace, I thought it was pure charity?

SerendipityJane · 22/11/2019 09:58

all families have skeletons, black sheep, etc etc but it is absolutely nothing on a par with the Royal Family.

I don't know ... to be honest there's actually a point of view that given their immense wealth and privilege with absolutely zero merit whatsoever, they actually do a pretty good job of being restrained. Especially when you think about what some people who have earned their wealth get up to.

I imagine Royal fans will use that as evidence of "innate breeding" and proof that they are our betters.

OmniversalsTapdancingTadpole · 22/11/2019 10:00

I dont believe that he is gay, i DO believe that for him a human being is just a collection of holes to exploit, whether or not that human is male or female.

Womenwotlunch · 22/11/2019 10:05

Agree with posters who say that Andrew is hiding something.
He gave that interview because something bigger is about to come out
I really would be interested to find out where Ghislaine Maxwell is and her alleged links with Mossad.
She has got a lot of juicy information about some high profile people. She is definitely being protected by someone

Dowser · 22/11/2019 10:12

Yes I remember the marina mowatt story rousette

Roussette · 22/11/2019 10:13

Queen yes! But I suppose the queen (not you Grin) is stoical and puts the 'family' before everything.

Serendipidity I think the level of their shenanigans is huge! Not one of them isn't touched by some sort of salacious stuff I betcha. Apart from the Queen maybe.

Roussette · 22/11/2019 10:20

Dowser yes, she's our sort of age, and her daughter is more or less the same age as mine. It was all quite exciting when she was rebelling, there was no social media and every newspaper carried more and more about it.
