This thread is for Black Friday 2019. If you're on the hunt for the most recent Black Friday discounts, find our guide to this year's best Amazon Black Friday deals. Hope this helps, and happy shopping! MNHQ

Hello everyone,

Black Friday is the shopping event of the year, with huge sales from loads of brands giving savvy shoppers the chance to get their hands on some serious bargains in the run up to Christmas.

This year, Black Friday falls on 29 November 2019 and, after the success of previous live Black Friday threads, the Mumsnet shopping team will once again be here from dawn ‘til dusk on the day helping you find the very best online deals.

We'll be updating this thread with the best offers we can find, but feel free to post any great deals you come across too. If you’re strapped for time, let us know what you’re looking for below and we will try our best to source a deal for you.

Quick reminder of how this works: we've selected these deals by scouring the web for bargains that we think MNers will love. We can’t guarantee that every single product has been at its 'pre-Black Friday price' for more than 30 days, but we only pull out offers that seem to us like genuinely good deals on products we know MNers rate.

We do get a small referral % if you happen to buy through these links and, if you post a fantastic offer but don't include a link, MNHQ may edit your post so that other users can easily find it.

Hi all! I'm up :)

There are some nice fashion discounts today. Up to 50% off everything at:
Dorothy Perkins,
Burton,
Miss Selfridge
And on selected items at Phase Eight

And for those in the market for a new hoover...
(@SunsetBoulevard3 if you haven't found one yet)

Amazon has up to 40% off Shark, Hoover, Bissell, Miele and Karcher models.

Dyson are also offering £100 off selected products.

@Alwaysrainsonme the best deal on the Miele Complete Cat & Dog PowerLine Vacuum Cleaner (C3 version) is currently £189.99 from Robert Dyas. However, if you weren't absolutely set on that one, for £10 more there's a great deal on the Shark Anti-Allergen Cordless Stick Vacuum Cleaner (£199.99, reduced from £399.99)

@Seeingadistance the best price on the white Swan Nordic is also at Robert Dyas, for £89.99 (saving £5). If you're after more of a deal, there's slightly more retro Beko microwave on Amazon for £48.60.

For more homeware, Lakeland has got some good offers - at MNHQ we're currently eyeing up this personal blender (Vitamix S30), down to £199.99.

Hi everyone, just thought I’d post this here from Which Smile

“We found that 95% of the Black Friday deal items we investigated - which included popular tech, home and personal care products - were available for the same price or cheaper in the six months after.”

So do be careful and don’t get duped by retailers trying to sell you a bad deal!

SorchaMumsnet · 29/11/2019 11:17

Hey @ChaiNashta - it looks like Argos has the best deal at the moment: £119 for the Ring Video Doorbell 2 and Chime bundle. Ding dong!

SorchaMumsnet · 29/11/2019 11:20

Hi @FelixFelicis6, thanks for sharing. This is a really good point. We do always try to look at price history to make sure that we're posting actually good deals. But is definitely something to bear in mind!

KittyMumsnet · 29/11/2019 12:28

Hello hello!

Some great gaming deals for you. @AravisQueenOfArchenland, you can get Red Dead Redemption 2 for £24.99 (was £29.99) on PS4, and £24.99 (was £29.99) on Xbox. You can also get Plants vs Zombies: the Battle for Neigborville on PS4 for £21.99 (was £28.27), or on Xbox £21.99 (was £29.57).

@Muchtoomuchtodo - we're not too familiar with this site, but the cheapest FIFA 20 game is available for £30.58 (was £51.15) from eneba. If you'd prefer to go with a better-known site, the next cheapest option is £37.99 from Currys (was £47.99).

@Howmanysleepsnow @OneIsAWorldOfBooks @TaighNamGastaOrt @SweetPeaPods The Nintendo Switch is available for £279 today, and comes with a 6 month Spotify Premium subscription when you buy from Currys (just think of how much Britney you can listen to without the pesky ads).

Tecobuy does the best deal on the Nintendo Switch Lite, available for £154.99 (was £199). Alternatively (if, again, you're not sure about using a lesser-known site), it's available from Amazon for £179 (was £198).

For those of you that wanted a Dyson hairdryer but couldn't find one on sale or still wouldn't be able to afford one anyway Argos have this great Remington alternative for £50. Unfortunately it doesn't look like the Airwrap has hit any Black Friday sales this year, so this might be worth a try? @MissMarple0203 @GeneHuntgoosedme

Thank you. Sadly the colour I want isn’t on offer....always the way! 😁🤦🏻‍♀️

Intotheseayouandme · 29/11/2019 17:38

Picturehouse cinema are doing 40% off annual membership. I got mine for £31 (outside London), really good value.

user1471590586 · 29/11/2019 17:51

Please be aware that ASOS have actually increased prices on some items so not everything is a bargain. Haven't seen a lot worth getting this year.

user1471590586 · 29/11/2019 17:53

Set up alerts on Hotukdeals if you are looking for specific things. And also use Camel, camel, camel to check the history of prices on Amazon.

ReeRi · 29/11/2019 17:56

Tempted by the Shark cordless at £199 but Which doesn’t rate the Sharks very well!
