Two of the children from the primary school I work at live directly opposite me.

They knocked on about an hour ago with a bag full of, very brightly iced and decorated, mini doughnuts Grin

Anything made you lot grin from ear today?

*ear to ear

(I posted as I noticed dd2 has my earphone wire wound in between her toes...that definitely did NOT make me smile!)

:( I thought there would have been a few of these even though it's Sunday!

Reading the reviews for Pizza Express Woking.
Twitter has been hilarious today.

Spent the afternoon cuddling a Chihuahua puppy. Tried to steal him, but unfortunately didn't get away with it.

Lovely lovely day today. Met my 4 week old grand niece (yep), and she is just gorgeous. Mum had post partum issues so was a teeny bit poorly, so I let them at it to recover.

But today was the day....

What a lovely visit. Babies are just something else aren't they?

I want to dance now!

Fresh homemade scones with jam and cream. And watching a film with DC.

Iwanttoseethesea · 17/11/2019 20:19

DS16 actually wanting to go out with me (ok it was only into town to get his haircut but still) . He went into costa to get some revolting cold coffee thing and came out to present me with my favourite cake !

Shopping with my dd.
She's away at uni so timing it that we both are free to be so frivolous with our time was brilliant.

Especially lovely considering I don't enjoy shopping, let alone crowds but did it and enjoyed

Got her some christmas presents and some decorations for our new house. Nice that she was there with me choosing such things as our front door wreath (never had one before so stupidly giddy getting it Blush) and yet another garland for the fireplaces.

Lovely thread.
Today I was delighted to have got lots of WhatsApp messages from my two older DDs.
Oldest took off travelling for three months alone to far-flung places, so I'm always worried about her. Today she sent lots of lovely pictures and videos of her with elephants (real live ones!).
Slightly younger DD has travelled off to Europe to meet her forrin boyfriend. She's having great time and sent lovely photos too (and is in love).
Just need DS (working abroad) to get in touch and I'll be totally content and at peace with the world!

Got a flat white and sat in the park, found a really beautiful white fur hat in the sales (fake fur!)

WhoKnewBeefStew · 17/11/2019 20:43

Lovely walk in the pissing rain with my dogs and dh today (I don't very often get to do this)

cloudnews · 17/11/2019 20:44

Mil telling me I'm doing a great job! Not patronising me- just being supportive, and really good to hear after a hard week with toddler and baby being sick.

dudsville · 17/11/2019 20:47

Loads. I'm sickeningly silver-lined in my general outlook. I pay more attention to the good than the meh and the bad. Problem solve the latter and revel in the former!

JewelleryQuarter · 17/11/2019 20:50

A lovely run in the park and then Sunday lunch with my lovely dd and DP. We wrapped presents this evening and put them away in the attic ready for Christmas so that’s also taken a bit of stress off me.

We had a second viewing on our house and the people are in love with it. And they are such a nice family I really hope they can offer!

Dd (7) was cold last night so today decided she wanted some new bedding. She bought grey and white fleecy bedding and seeing her huge smile as she snuggled into it tonight was adorable. She used her own money that she got from toy sales!

Now I wouldn't usually expect the dc to buy their own bedding (!) so I snuck the money back into her bank account!

When I woke up this morning ddog was upside down in his bed with his legs in the air. I obviously startled him and he tried to jump up, got stuck and just lay there waving his legs and smiling at me. I laughed for ages!

I asked around for some clothes for a newly arrived family with little kids who have escaped war in Syria, who are freezing in the icy cold here in Norway. And people donated a whole car full in the space of this afternoon. Including some little toys and a Frozen kiddies backpack. Amazing.

tomatosoup4 · 17/11/2019 21:28

My daughter eating 2 yogurts this evening after not eating since Friday she's got an infection in both eyes and her ear Sad

Gotobloodysleep · 17/11/2019 21:29

Finding a load of old baby videos of dc 1 & 2 and watching them with them. It's amazing how quickly you forget how small they once were.

Span1elsRock · 17/11/2019 21:31

I've had my eldest grandson for the weekend.

It makes my heart hurt how much I love him. He's nearly 7, and we've spent the whole time reading, playing lego, watching films about dinosaurs and just laughing.

Your kids are amazing but grandchildren are a whole other level of joy.
