Onion/garlic

Ground beef & Cabbage noodles!
My husband could probably eat this 7 days week if he could. Smile Add lots more of the spices. I don’t usually like leftovers but this one is just as nice to heat up for days after.

Korean beef! There's a very child-friendly recipe on the Tesco website that my DCs go mad for (but I reduce the sugar by a LOT).

hobnobsaremyfavourite · 17/11/2019 11:51

This is brilliant
Proves how stuck in a rut I am with meals when there is so much variety out there
Thanks

@Chewbecca I’ve done that dish for years, love it! We call it cheats moussaka. Same as you I use courgettes, but I’ve not tried it with beef mince so will be giving that a go.

AwdBovril · 17/11/2019 13:45

Stuffed vegetables - use marrow, large aubergine, beef tomatoes, peppers etc. Hollow out. Add some dry couscous, quinoa, or tiny pasta shapes, mince, whatever herbs etc you like, olives, maybe feta or other cheese on top or mixed through. Bake until done. Good with lamb mince too. Variety only limited by your imagination.

Already set up to try the Korean beef dish Fromm tesco tomorrow
These are all brilliant

How about mince stew and dumplings? Mince , carrots, onions, celery, tin of tomatoes, stock. Simmered slowly until it's nice and rich, serve with potatoes (which you can cook in the stew if you want) and/or dumplings.

I also do a nice mince dish with onions, mushrooms and peppers, stock (no tomatoes), served with rice which my dad invented back in the 1980s and is known in my family as 'Mince Special' Smile

Likethebattle · 17/11/2019 14:43

If I addict Indian mince...let me find the recipe.

Likethebattle · 17/11/2019 14:48

Mince and tatties! With gravy and Worcestershire sauce.

Keema mince is a big hit here.

Also, dry chilli / topping for tacos rather than a sloppy chilli.

Try pork or turkey mince for some variety. Tonight we are having a Thai spiced pork mince in lettuce wraps.

twinnywinny14 · 17/11/2019 16:58

We fry off mince with a bit of herbs and spices and make flatbreads, serve together with houmous and salad, sometimes couscous or rice too, delicious x

ContessaLovesTheSunshine · 17/11/2019 17:01

We're having vegan spag bol here, with some plant-based mince stuff. My top tip for making vegan stuff taste savoury is to add a dollop of marmite Grin

DoctorTwo · 17/11/2019 17:09

savoury mince in toasted sandwich

Oh yes. With grilled cheese.

TheSeaWitch · 17/11/2019 17:23

Chilli beef lettuce wraps
Bibimbap (we usually use pork mince but beef is good too)

PG2018 · 17/11/2019 17:28

@NotQuiteUsual have u a recipie for keema?

fireonfire · 17/11/2019 17:41

Meat balls in tomato sauce
Meatloaf
Burgers
Keema curry
Use the chilli to make enchiladas by mixing it with Mexican rice, rolling into tortillas and grilling with cheese on top

hobnobsaremyfavourite · 17/11/2019 17:50

I'll pass on the vegan thanksGrin
