Vanya is it the comedian?

VanyaHargreeves · 08/11/2019 13:19

@Cheesymonster

Aye

Why use "cruel" when you could use "mindless" ?

QueenOfTheAndals · 08/11/2019 13:20

Bidialectal is what it's called, I think @VanyaHargreeves.

VanyaHargreeves · 08/11/2019 13:25

@iSayaPrayer

The stuff she wrote about SJP was so weirdly ranty and unnecessary, that I would, coupled with this morbid vanity grave defacement, suspect it is her

Gatekeeper · 08/11/2019 13:26

this might have already been revealed but bunging on here anyway

SIL's colleague's daughter was getting married in high profile building. A certain person's son was coming up to 13- and he/they desperately wanted the same venue. Chappie approached colleague via the venue and after some backwards and forwards offered to pay for the wedding elsewhere and also paid off daughter's mortgage if they would give up their 'slot'. Practically took his hand off! Grin

I heard that a good few years ago. Must have been a very Posh mum, to Spice up the rumour.

FilthyBiscuit · 08/11/2019 14:10

@VanyaHargreeves I saw the headlines about the comedian. If we are talking about the same person? What's that all about?

DreamingofSunshine · 08/11/2019 14:16

@Gatekeeper I heard this one too! Although I heard it was for a younger age party Hmm

VanyaHargreeves · 08/11/2019 14:25

It's about saying something without actually coming straight out with it because they can't legally @FilthyBiscuit

iSayaPrayer · 08/11/2019 14:32

Ahh I wish they would just leave him alone. He obviously doesn’t want to discuss his personal life.

The SJP and KC row was so weird. The bit where KC called SJP out about sending her apologies over KC’s brothers death Confused

Surely, you just ignore it and continue with your grieving?

Oh I seeee (the comedian). Are they trying to smoke him out?

VanyaHargreeves · 08/11/2019 15:11

Not necessarily, once you see the Daily Mail technique for implying stuff it becomes a sort of hobby, they certainly appear to do it for kicks.

FilthyBiscuit · 08/11/2019 15:16

I noticed that with the DM. They always have an article about someone who allegedly has super-injunctions. Non related of course!

ManonBlackbeak · 08/11/2019 15:22

It was in the DM that I read the story about Mr Fools having a boydyguard with him on set. For a while they had a bit of a thing about the Christmassy named daytime TV presenter and her producer husband. It made me wonder if there was something going on in their marriage, and I fully expected them to announce a split but it didnt come to anything.

FreeBedForFlys · 08/11/2019 15:23

The “big star wanted wedding/party venue so badly that they paid off someone’s mortgage/wedding” has been doing the rounds, with various different stars/footballers in the lead role for years 🙄

FreeBedForFlys · 08/11/2019 15:28

My family on my mums side are from oop north but I was brought up darn sarf. Whenever I went to visit even for the day I’d end up with a broad Notts accent instead of pure Essex.

I was the same when I spent a weekend in Birmingham. Came home sounding like Frank Skinner.

VanyaHargreeves · 08/11/2019 15:49

Yes I'm sure I heard that exact story only it was John Terry

whitershadeofpale · 08/11/2019 15:54

My favourite DM non-story about a story was made up largely of pictures of Hugh Bonneville at some non-event that he was definitely not the highlight of. He was repeatedly called 'family man Hugh Bonneville' and then described as the 'Ryan Giggs of the acting world' Grin

iSayaPrayer · 08/11/2019 15:55

I’ve heard it to but it was for Christine and Frank Lampard’s wedding Grin

Maybe they are all just spoilt bastards ruining parties and paying off mortgages!

I found it- not quite what I remebered but even better 'But then Hugh’s devotion to wife Lulu is so strong it is understood he is known to fellow thespians as the Ryan Giggs of the showbusiness world, after the famously family-orientated footballer.<

iSayaPrayer · 08/11/2019 15:58

whiter Ryan Giggs off the show business world, such a brilliant sly dig.

whitershadeofpale · 08/11/2019 16:02

I wonder what they might have been hinting at with this one Wink ?

Encyclo · 08/11/2019 16:04

DM are so goady. They especially love a Meghan story at the moment, but they have many a go to celeb.

Eg: They love to put the most unflattering picture possible Pierce Brosnans wife (can't remember her name - Kelley ??) and talk about how fabulous and healthy she looks.

She's a larger lady and the comments are inevitably vicious towards her.

ManonBlackbeak · 08/11/2019 16:06

OMG at that comment about Hugh Bonneville! Thats really close to the bone!

VanyaHargreeves · 08/11/2019 16:09

Yes there was one written about The Office's Lucy Davis in an airport and the ENTIRE point of the article was to Fat Shame her - for once the comments underneath pointed this out

Awful.
