Can I ask you what you are putting in the Xmas stockings of your twelve year old boys this year?

so far i have bought an adidas deodorant, some playstation controller 'skins', and some of these socks. watching with interest for other ideas!

SunshineDays2019 · 05/11/2019 15:50

A pritt stick? Well you did ask for sticking fillers! Grin

ZeeQueen · 05/11/2019 15:59

Following with interest too!
In previous years it's been deodorants, sweets, undies, socks and just little Knick knacks ... which have escaped me right this second but will defo come back and update if I remember.
Put a harmonica in there once but was discarded fairly quickly unfortunately 😕

formerbabe · 05/11/2019 16:01

Ha! I've also got mine an adidas deodorant Grin

Plus stationery for school. A book about football. Sweets. A book about the flags of the world.

It's really tough thinking of things.

I'm also thinking a new water bottle, socks, pants.

Watching with interest.

AIBanUemployee · 05/11/2019 17:44

I'm saying the title in the accent of the police officer in 'allo 'allo.

No suggestions just liked the sticking fillers title

Shoeshelpplease · 05/11/2019 17:52

Sorry for the title!

Some great ideas here. Love the Bluetooth beanie hat and its in my Amazon basket.

Great book ideas, going to look at those too, lets keep the suggestions coming.

Shoeshelpplease · 05/11/2019 18:00

@WellTidy can I ask where you got your weird flavour Fanta?

OP posts:
Isolemnlyswear · 05/11/2019 18:06

Alex rider stormbreaker books, bluetooth headset, spiderman far from home dvd (out next week), Nike trainers, lego and a cook book (he wants to be chef!!). Lynx deodorant, match attax collectors tin and some money.

WellTidy · 05/11/2019 18:18

Shoes, Our local sweet shop, Mr Simms. They have imported sweets and chocolates and drinks so it may be that it is imported from somewhere like the US

Georgiemcgeorgeface · 05/11/2019 18:29

Just here to pinch the ideas. I'm clueless and severely lacking the motivation to get going this year. 12 years old is hard!

Shoeshelpplease · 05/11/2019 20:19

What's with all the lynx? This is obviously a thing then? My son would see it as a punishment and another chore, not a gift Shock

OP posts:
Shoeshelpplease · 05/11/2019 20:20

Thanks Welltidy, I'll have a look in similar then. That would be a hit here.

BrieAndChilli · 05/11/2019 20:23

A card game called trumpisms or something. You have to guess if it’s something that trump really said or not.

reefedsail · 05/11/2019 20:29

@AIBanUemployee I also said 'ahhh.. sticking fill-airs' in the voice of Monsieur LeClerc.

I have a box of 'retro British' sweets for DS, which I firmly intend to eat.

WellTidy · 05/11/2019 20:29

Shoes Lynx and Adidas type body sprays are really popular for preteen and early teen boys, so I’m told by friends. DS isn’t remotely interested yet but he is in the minority.

PoptartPoptart · 05/11/2019 20:32

The Squires garden centre near me sell all sorts of American novelty sweets, plus they do all sorts of different flavoured Fantas too

Shoeshelpplease · 06/11/2019 10:39

Also it's the first year my son is not really into Lego anymore. It's been a tradition to get him a decent set every year, building up from the basic to complex as he had grown.

Will be a shame not to get him one this year as I know he would still enjoy building one but they are so expensive and he is not THAT into it all anymore

Last year I got him the Lego model of the car I had just bought so at least was topical but not sure this year.

Another element is that we will be away abroad so not wanting to carry lots of heavy stuff.

OP posts:
Shoeshelpplease · 06/11/2019 10:40

Can I ask also what you are getting as main gifts for your twelve year olds?

OP posts:
sleepismysuperpower1 · 06/11/2019 10:52

his main gift is going to be a second hand flick urban skills thing for football, and some airpods since the skills thing was a bargain
