Can I ask you what you are putting in the Xmas stockings of your twelve year old boys this year?

We're toying with getting ds 13 a unicycle! On searching them up, they aren't as expensive as first feared. Start at £49.99

Im also going to get one of those chocolate roulette games...where one of the chocolates is actually a chilli.

Last year, I got him this jelly bean roulette type game from b&m...there's lots of nice flavours then horrible ones like cat food flavour and snot. We had lots of fun playing it on Christmas day...might see if I can get it again.

His main gift is going to be a new phone.

What about magazine subscriptions?
We had The Week for a time but it just didn't take off in our house and was just left unopened so I stopped it. It seemed a shame as when I leafed through it, it looked great 🤷🏼‍♀️

Does anyone have any recommendations for a better one? For a girl even as I have similar aged DD too.

We've had similar with First News Kinley. DS had a subscription off PIL for his 11th birthday, it is delivered every Friday and it has been coming for nearly a year. they just stack up, either unread or unopened. it is a good newspaper though, perfect for him, but he's not interested. I don't know how it compares to The Week, but I'd imagine they're similar.

Tiger (the shop) is usually really good for stocking fillers, they sell loads of funny unusual pens and stationary and its really cheap. I brought my DD a clip on book light that looks like lego last year, it was her favourite present.

phone charging cables
phone energy bank
phone tripod thing (are we spotting a theme here?!)
one of those drinking jars with a lid for his bedside table as the cat drinks water out of open glasses
soap on a rope (he gets one every year!)
personalised Match Attax cards
pin badges for his collection
new dice and tokens for a game he plays
travel sized deodorant and hair gels

Some sweets/chocolate/snacks which I'll buy nearer the time

Some bigger things like pants and a bobble hat for his favourite rugby team may go in the stocking or may end up under the tree.

So far it's all very practical! I need some ideas for fun/silly things so watching with interest.

Standard - Chocolate Orange, boxers and socks, chocolate coins, lynx shower gel and spray and Matey bubble bath.
Other ideas so far - Cafe Nero voucher, calendar, keyring, skate board stickers, book, pens.

I'm pretty stuck this year.
