What has been your ‘oh my god’ moments in celebrity gossip?

Mine have been:

• Jay-Z and Solange in the elevator
• Detective Coleen Rooney making her case
• Kanye West ‘imma let you finish’ with Taylor Swift

They all genuinely shocked me when reported, and for the love of twitter VardyGate was fantastic.

And before anyone gets in, yes I have got a life, I just enjoy celebrity gossip as a bit of freedom from the day to day. But well done on you for not caring and being better than me

Kevin Spacey sexually assaulting men and his cringey "coming out" as if it has any bearing on the fact he's a sexual predator. I know there have been a few celebs who are predators and their crimes have come out the woodwork but he was always my favourite actor and this shocked me.

Rooney/Vardy WAG wars was brilliant

I also remember the days when a celeb coming out was big, headline news - Will Young, Ellen Degeneres, Stephen Gately etc. Now, thankfully, no one bats an eyelid.

I’m rarely shocked these days but George Michaels death hit me hard.
I don’t believe he was HIV+ he was quite open about his ex having been and being tested and also his own health issues. Iirc he’d had trouble with his lungs since he’d been a child (I have a vague idea he may have had a history of asthma?) so not really surprising he had issues as he got older as he was I believe a moderate smoker (which is admittedly a stupid thing to do if you have lung issues! It’s certainly why I’ve never smoked)

2016 was a horrific year for celebrity deaths of course.

The other recent (to me) one I remember was when I finally got to be able to watch Rizzoli and isles and when Barry frost was written out of the series which contradicted what happened in the books. So I went googling and was so sad and shocked to read of what happened to actor lee Thompson young, I then read up on the shows reaction and found the most heartwarming comments and video of how they honoured him and consulted his family on how they’d deal with his no longer being on the show.

Caroline flack “dating” a 17 year old harry styles still disgusts me, far as I’m concerned she’s no better than those teachers that sleep with their students, not only was she much older, he still a child but she was also in a position of power/authority over him - all kinds of wrong!

Stephen gately dying sadly brought out a lot of homophobia! So many insisted his death HAD to be related to his being gay. I remember I was still watching the wright stuff at this time and Matthew like me had suddenly and unexpectedly lost a young male loved one and strongly challenged callers making such comments, cutting several right off! It’s rare, but it does happen. In my case the person also had an undx genetic heart condition which only came to light at autopsy. He was a young fit (marathon runner) healthy guy, non smoker DEFINITELY no drug use, was showering after training for next run he was doing and literally just dropped dead his heart just stopped. People of all ages and backgrounds do die unexpectedly.

It seems silly now but Kyle Marsh revealing she had a child after getting a place in Hears’ay was a real shock at the time. She lied because in those days she probably would have been kicked out if people had found out she was a young single mum.

Also, Jamie Theakston’s sex dungeon pretty much ended his glittering career.

Caroline Flack always came across as an absolute sleaze to me.
