This will probably bring people out the woodwork to say they hate so and so celebrity but who are the ones that you never really hear a bad word said about them? My nomination is: Dolly Parton.

OP posts:
RiftGibbon · 28/10/2019 10:21

Angela Griffin always seems lovely.
And Michael Sheen.

Mrsjayy · 28/10/2019 10:49

EleanorReally · 28/10/2019 11:18

Thankssomuch · 28/10/2019 11:39

I LOVE Michael Sheen!

Ohhellooooo · 28/10/2019 21:07

I love Michael Sheen too! He was brilliant on Pointless a few weeks ago, with Steve Pemberton - who also seems like a thoroughly decent chap.

PunishmentSnart · 28/10/2019 21:27

Has anyone said Vicky McClure? And I LOVE Marian Keyes Grin

RiftGibbon · 28/10/2019 22:20

I'm curious about Clare Balding too - she always seems very genuine.

EleanorReally · 29/10/2019 08:06

CAtching up on that pointless episode

how about Audrey Hepburn
and of course Alexander Armstrong

Mrsjayy · 29/10/2019 08:57

I am halfway through Good Omens on amazon prime I think I might actually be in love with Michael Sheen he is fab in it.

EleanorReally · 29/10/2019 09:07

Mrsjayy · 29/10/2019 09:55

He is so good @EleanorReally

DarlingNikita · 29/10/2019 12:42

Marian Keyes is fucking hilarious on Twitter. I just wish her books were as good as she is.

RiftGibbon · 29/10/2019 22:39

Maggie Aderin-Pocock?
Bill Bailey?
Nadiya Hussain?

No experience of any of them personally, but I can't remember ever hearing them spoken badly of.

BlackBatInBloodSucking · 29/10/2019 22:45

I just wish Alexander Armstrong wouldn't sing. I'm not saying that he can't sing, because he can, but I wish he wouldn't. It's something about his facial expression when he does.

Babybel90 · 29/10/2019 22:48

@BlackBatInBloodSucking I know what you mean, it’s like an embarrassing uncle 🤣

Agree with @RiftGibbon that Angela Griffin is very nice. She is friends with Lisa Faulkner who is another good 'un.

tinkering · 30/10/2019 14:08

@joyfullittlehippo if you ever see him again tell him I love him! Grin

only joking -- but I am incredibly jealous!

Andylion · 30/10/2019 15:28

I nominate Peter Capaldi. My son and i bumped into him when he was filming in Hull and my son (19, has autism) stood there flapping his arms and kept squeaking. Capaldi said "What's ye name hen, would ye like a selfie with the Doctor? Show it to all ye pals."

Put him at complete ease and took 10 minutes out of his day to make my son feel he was the most important person in the world. About a hundred pics taken and an autograph on the signature strip of my Super drug card grin

@Wildthyme I was scrolling thorough this thread, just waiting for someone to mention PC. What a lovely story.

Mrsjayy · 30/10/2019 15:59

Has anybody mentioned Lewis Capaldi he is probably the nicest lad in the history of lads and he is hilarious !

mencken · 30/10/2019 16:40

I am unreasonably pleased to hear evidence that Peter Capaldi is as lovely a chap as he always seems in interviews. What a great story.

I saw the Emilia Clarke interview too - she does come across as 'hopelessly baffled millenial' but in a nice way!

Mrsjayy · 30/10/2019 16:48

(Tho I had a sex dream about him back when he was on Masters of Sex and the memory always makes me very slightly bashful!)

TBF Masters of Sex wasn't for the bashful Grin

InTheShadowOfTheMushroomCloud · 30/10/2019 16:51

Peter Capaldi is my crush... glad he is as nice as he is gorgeous ( I am an old woman so a bit of silver sex is my bag)

DarlingNikita · 30/10/2019 17:13

Capaldi said "What's ye name hen, would ye like a selfie with the Doctor? Show it to all ye pals."
Really lovely story Smile

BUT I can't help thinking, did he REALLY say 'hen'? That's for women, no?

GeorgianaDovesHouse · 30/10/2019 17:24

The use of hen is puzzling. Did he mean then?
