This will probably bring people out the woodwork to say they hate so and so celebrity but who are the ones that you never really hear a bad word said about them? My nomination is: Dolly Parton.

In going to nominate Nick Park, Aardman Films, creator of Wallace & Grommet, Creature Comforts and Shaun the Sheep. I've never heard anything bad about him, he's pleasant and self deprecating when interviewed and how could he be in any way horrible when he's created such delightful worlds for us to enjoy? Not a celebrity, but that's his choice. Lovely Smile

Pinkarsedfly · 24/10/2019 08:18

Bob Mortimer.
Julie Walters.
Daniel Radcliffe.
Mark Radcliffe.
Will from The Repair Shop.
Daniel Levy.

Charley1988 · 24/10/2019 08:28

Alistair Burnett

Charley1988 · 24/10/2019 08:28

Stuart Maconie

RickOShay · 24/10/2019 08:32

Good call for Nicholas Parsons @Charley1988

Pinkarsedfly · 24/10/2019 08:35

Maya Rudolph.

Albgo · 24/10/2019 08:38

Louis Theroux. If he turned out to be a bad un I'd be amazed.

@HollowTalk I love, love, love Louis! x

ShirleyPhallus · 24/10/2019 08:39

I met Nicholas Parsons and he was a right arse to be honest. Met him for a work event and whether he was just getting old and so frustrated because he couldn’t remember stuff I don’t know, but he was SO rude! The second he got on stage and could recall old tales he was fine. Then he got off stage and told everyone to fuck off.

NotEnoughTime · 24/10/2019 10:20

Thank you Trudij123 - you have made my day Smile

Ohhellooooo · 24/10/2019 15:05

Then he got off stage and told everyone to fuck off.

That really made me laugh! Cantankerous sod

GabsAlot · 24/10/2019 15:12

Oh yeah the lovely dennis waterman who hit his ex wife

mbosnz · 24/10/2019 15:16

Richie McCaw - I literally ran into him in the street and he was so nice about it, and saw him at the supermarket, and he was so nice and patient with all the wellwishers coming up to him, when he just wanted to get a bit of fish and bugger off home! (Well, he's worldfamous in NZ, and to rugby fanatics, so I think I can include him.
Barack Obama
Michelle Obama
Sir Ian McKellan - amazing man - I see another poster went and saw his 80th production, so did we! Also, he helped save the Isaac Royal Theatre in Christchurch after the quakes. So grateful to him.
Sir Patrick Stewart.
Sir Terry Pratchett
Patrick Swayze
Dwayne Johnson
Malala

Spidey66 · 24/10/2019 17:06

As is Jarvis Cocker.

My hero! I didn't nominate him though cos I thought people maynot have forgotten his antics at the Brits with Michael Jackson, though Michael Jackson was being a twat at the time.

rslsys · 24/10/2019 20:48

Not Nicholas Parsons - he did the whole 'do you know who I am' thing when asked to pay for a drink he had ordered that was more like a prescription than a cocktail!

Carol Kirkwood
Steph McGovern
The late Peter Sallis - lovely man

MrsGrindah · 24/10/2019 21:32

Carol Kirkwood has me screaming at the TV!

What about Michael Morpurgo and the late Terry Pratchett?

longwayoff · 24/10/2019 21:55

@Spidey, that act made Jarvis a hero, well done him. Jackson had reached the pinnacle of twattishness, Jarvis and his bum should have been knighted for service to humanity.

Iaccidentlykillplants · 24/10/2019 23:33

Steve Buscemi?

Sue Johnston?

whattodo2019 · 24/10/2019 23:46

Keanu Reeve
Tom Hanks
Sandra Bullock
Phillip Schofield

JoanieCash · 25/10/2019 00:06

George Clooney? For someone decades in the public eye you don’t hear anything awful about him (whether you like films/acting is a bit different). A friend worked on Syriana and said he was lovely.

EleanorReally · 25/10/2019 06:27

after watching Channel 4 what about Sarah Lancashire
everyone's favourite

however no one can be lovely All the time

StoatofDisarray · 25/10/2019 06:44

I second Bill Nighy! And Bob Mortimer too.

I'd have to vote against Victoria Wood for unbearable tweeness.

GinisLife · 25/10/2019 10:23

@Sammysquiz ooooh I've heard lots about Terry Wogan not being so great in real life. A friend had to work with him a few times. She wasn't keen 😩

Triglesoffy · 25/10/2019 10:44

Philip Schofield? I’d question that....

BritishHorrorStory · 25/10/2019 14:41

@EleanorReally
after watching Channel 4 what about Sarah Lancashire

I saw an advert for something she was in and thought about adding her to this thread! Nobody seems to dislike her. And she’s a good actress too.
