I love Anchor but it's a bit pricey so mostly get Sainsbury's or Country Life, whichever is on sale.

At a friend's house I had some butter straight from heaven in a white/translucent paper wrap but she couldn't remember where she got it from.

Aldi's Cornish butter. Proper salt crystals and lush on toast

Aldi do a really nice butter with salt crystals. It’s reasonably priced too.

French butter with sea salt from Marks. It has a black wrapper.

Waitrose own brand salted butter is very good. Also Longley Farm butter if you are in the North

We went to a pop up restaurant where the starters included fresh bread with biltong butter. OMG. It was so damn good I'd have eaten it on toast with marmalade given the choice.

We used to get really good butter with a veg box delivery (Riverford) - can't remember the dairy but it might be on their website? If I were going to splash out on some now, there's a local dairy that sells it.
