What is the saltiest, buttery-ist butter I can buy?

I love Anchor but it's a bit pricey so mostly get Sainsbury's or Country Life, whichever is on sale.

At a friend's house I had some butter straight from heaven in a white/translucent paper wrap but she couldn't remember where she got it from.

Shirgar Welsh butter. Delicious salty butteryness

Fuma · 14/10/2019 22:28

So nice to hear others who like the Brittany butter. I never knew butter could taste so luxurious!

harper30 · 14/10/2019 22:29

I support the claim for the aldi West Country butter, lovely and salty

Waitrose Brittany Butter, but I think it’s now called French butter with sea salt.

WHY ARE THERE SO MANY THREADS ABOUT BUTTER???

Osquito · 14/10/2019 22:34

Another one saying the Aldi block in black packet - I’ve tried this for the first time this week and it’s actually distractingly salty for me (!)

Are the Butter Marketing Board invading mumsnet?

DisappointingBanana · 14/10/2019 22:44

I also came on to say Welsh butter. Even cheap run of the mill butters that are described as welsh are super salty.
I live in Wales and really dislike it myself!

DisappointingBanana · 14/10/2019 22:44

I mean I dislike welsh butter, not that I dislike Wales 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 😁

NonUrinatInVentum · 14/10/2019 22:46

Kerrygold! Salty deliciousness 🤤

Outsomnia · 14/10/2019 22:49

Kerrygold.... best butter on the planet IMV.

Just going to have a slice of toast with KG now before bed. Yum.

Breathlessness · 14/10/2019 22:51

justasking111 · 14/10/2019 22:54

Blurred D’Isigny is gorgeous. Waitrose do one, so do Tesco.

I once bought a small pack of Italian butter called Beppino Occelli from a fancy cheese shop. It was amazing. Package is similar to your description. Beppino Ocelli burro

MangoSalsa · 14/10/2019 22:54

Beurre D’Isigny Sorry!

Woodlandwitch · 14/10/2019 22:56

Got to be Brittany butter

If your standard salted butter isn’t salty enough for your doorstep just grind some rock salt on top and voila

kateandme · 14/10/2019 22:56

Wyke farm butter.they also so cheddar!

Totaldogsbody · 15/10/2019 00:41

It has got to be ballyrashane butter. Nothing else like it.

MushroomTree · 15/10/2019 08:11

This is my kind of thread!

@Alabasterangel6 I'm off to Wales next week. I know what I'll be looking for in Tesco. I got some gorgeous Welsh cheese in the local Tesco last time I was there.

SleepwalkingThroughLife · 15/10/2019 15:53

Oh this is magnificent, thank you so so much everyone.

I'm off shopping later!

Kerrygold for every day - perfect amount of saltiness and it’s grass fed!
