Are Sainsburies kids clothes any good?

Suddenly realised while trying to find DS something warm for nursery that none of last years warm stuff fits.
As DH is home on annual leave I thought I might make him drive me to the big out of town Sainsburies for a change.
Are their boys clothes any good?

Yes

user1483387154 · 25/09/2019 08:20

very good

Winegumaddict · 25/09/2019 08:49

Yes I like them. They come up quite big in my experience just in case DS is on the smaller side.

Yes. I like their adult clothes too.

InglouriousBasterd · 25/09/2019 08:59

One of the best IMO

EskewedBeef · 25/09/2019 09:01

Yes, I used to buy loads of children's clothes from them. I like quite a bit of the women's as well - tights are brilliant value!

womanaf · 25/09/2019 09:05

Yes, great quality. My only quibble at all is that they don’t always have a full range. So, for example, you might decide to go buy a hoodie but it’s perfectly possible that they don’t have one.

YaySeptember · 25/09/2019 09:07

Yes. They've always lasted well on my dc. Their school cardigans and jumpers are warm and thick. My dd had Sainsburys' school shoes last year and they saw her through from September to June when she grew out of them (though they were from their boys' shoes range rather than the girls' which is almost always shit no matter where you go). I bought some PJs from Sainsburys for all 4 of us and they're lovely and cosy.

PaulHollywoodsSexGut · 25/09/2019 09:12

I think they’re the best and most hardwearing clothes out there.

IMHO in order of best out there it’s

Yes, much better than Tesco or Asda clothes. I've just got all the kids new uniforms from there, my son loves his new school jumpers as they are so cosy!

TerribleCustomerCervix · 25/09/2019 09:16

Yes, and they offer nice bright colours as opposed to drab grey, navy and sludge brown that everywhere else seems to sell

Littlemeadow123 · 25/09/2019 09:19

Their adult clothes are really good so I dont know why their kid's clothes should be any different.

tonimialewisx · 25/09/2019 09:21

Great quality and they wash super well! X

PotteringAlong · 25/09/2019 09:22

Yes. I’ve got Sainsbury’s clothes that have survived all 3 of my boys! I’ve got some lovely stuff for me from Sainsbury’s too.

MissTicPizza · 25/09/2019 09:23

Yes, I like the children's and women's clothes. They wash well and are good quality.

SummerHouse · 25/09/2019 09:25

Good yes. Well worth waiting for the 25% off which they do about 4 times a year.

tonimialewisx · 25/09/2019 09:27

@SummerHouse I agree especially as it's usually over all there clothes and not just selected ones like most supermarkets x

Rosere · 25/09/2019 09:27

Adult and child clothing are brilliant. H&M also excellent for little kids clothes.

SummerHouse · 25/09/2019 09:28

Next Sainsbury's 25% off due end Oct (they never give a date in advance but it tends to be Oct half term time). I would buy a hoodie or two and then go back for that.

DreamingofSunshine · 25/09/2019 09:39

Love their boys clothes for DS, they wash so well and last well too.

inwood · 25/09/2019 09:46

Yes I think they are great. I kitted mine out with a 'uniform' for nursery, 5 leggings, 5 tshirts, 5 jumpers so no thinking about what they were going to wear and didn't care if it got trashed.

Camomila · 25/09/2019 09:50

Thanks everyone.

We're off in a bit. DC shopping is much more fun than adult shopping as they actually need stuff so I don't feel guilty spending money!

They're pretty good quality (better than Tesco and Asda) but not as good as Marks and Spencer/Boden IMO; however I find designs for my DS who is 5 pretty awful. Not so bad for younger children. Design is better for girls, but that's true of most places I guess but more noticeable for me in Tu. I struggle to find anything I want to buy for him in there now.

DamnaThatOnesTaken · 25/09/2019 09:58

Pretty much all of my sons clothes is from sainsburys. Enjoy your spree! I find them slightly larger than other supermarkets so keep that in mind.

EachandEveryone · 25/09/2019 10:01

Funnily I bought baby grows there yesterday for a present. Lovely colours and quality.
