Are Sainsburies kids clothes any good?

Suddenly realised while trying to find DS something warm for nursery that none of last years warm stuff fits.
As DH is home on annual leave I thought I might make him drive me to the big out of town Sainsburies for a change.
Are their boys clothes any good?

Sainsburys Tu clothing is brilliant

I'm really surprised to read these responses. Am I the only one who thinks they are cute but pretty poor quality? I find that once one child has worn them, they are ready for the bin, which is fine if you have only one child, but they won't last for handmedowns.

They are of reasonable quality and the designs are nice. You do get the odd thing that falls apart straight away... but I've had that from M&S too where things are twice the price! My favourite shop for cheap childrens wear is H&M. I've got stuff from them that's been through two of my children so far and are still in reasonable condition!

I'm a big fan of Tu for my DD, I find they have a great range of baby/toddler girl's clothes that aren't all baby pink with sparkly unicorns.
I agree H&M are good, and I also like m&s - I've personally found them to be good quality

NoSauce · 25/09/2019 12:55

Yes as good as JL and better than Next.

Puffthemagicdragongoestobed · 25/09/2019 13:01

Yes, have been buying lots from both boys and girl ranges. I think quality is good and a lot of stuff that my kids have outgrown can still be worn. Some of the girl range is a bit too much Disney and sparkly stuff but there are always some lovely bits in between. When my son was a toddler he used to have a TU knitted hooded jacket which he wore for ever. We got so many comments on it, people that it was Boden or John Lewis.

The clothes are nice but customer service isn’t great... I made a pretty big order when they had the 25% off promotion in August, got an email saying it had been dispatched and then heard nothing... chased it up a few weeks later and the order was lost! Not sure when they’d been planning on telling me... Most of the stuff I’d bought had sold out so I couldn’t order it again and what hadn’t sold out was back to full price. If I hadn’t chased it up I imagine they’d have just kept my money and I’d still be waiting for it to arrive!

yes very good.
good on denim for adults too.

I had a lovely time shopping :) (DH was bored out of his mind), had to go to Tesco for trousers though as the Sainsburies ones looked huge.

Sainsburies also had a wide variety of grown up and DC wetsuits!

I find Sainsburys trousers are long and slim, as opposed to Asda and Tesco which are a bit wider in proportion to leg length.

I love the colour selections, in the younger girls range, lots of cheerful bold colours.

They're much better quality than Asda or Tesco. Maybe not quite as good as Boden or M&s but the price makes up for it, and all of DDs clothes that haven't been ruined by stains look well enough to be used a second time.

Sewrainbow · 25/09/2019 18:24

I've found the trousers huge too, but otherwise no complaints both my boys had more tu clothes than any other make when little and all lasted both children for a long time. I found John Lewis and M&S not as hard wearing and next expensive for what they were.

MsJuniper · 25/09/2019 18:27

My DS wore a lot of Tu and lots of it is still in fairly good condition to pass on to DD. They seemed to have more brights/prints and less sludge colours in their boys' section which is what I look for.

starfishmummy · 25/09/2019 18:29

Absolutely as are the womens and mens.

Whattodoabout · 25/09/2019 18:30

Yes they’re the only supermarket clothes I will buy.

SuzieQ10 · 25/09/2019 21:18

Yes decent quality and a good selection. They quite often do 25% off all clothing which is great too. I often wait until then to stock up on the basics.

SudowoodoVoodoo · 25/09/2019 21:31

I bought a lot of Sainsburys when the DCs were younger. They are in the sludge age group now and I tend to buy more from outdoors shops to get something colourful.

They lasted well through two children.

I'm finding myself buying a good portion 9f their clothes for myself.

allthegoodusernameshavegone · 25/09/2019 21:34

Sainsburys clothes are excellent for all, even my DH who is Musto, Gill, Henri Lloyd man loves TU clothing
