Does anyone else get really annoyed when you can't find things you like anymore?

Case in point, Lipton iced tea in elderflower and rose. Sainsbo's have stopped selling it (Waitrose and Amazon still do though.) Urban Noodles sweet and sour noodles, I really like them and I can't find them anywhere! (Sweet and sour noodles seem to have gone out of fashion which makes me sad.) I like these things and I bought them all the time! Sad I will be getting the teabags from Amazon eventually. Doubly annoying because Sainsbo's still sell one flavour (out of five) and it's the one I liked the least!
Loacker chocolate wafers were another, Wilkos used to sell massive packs for £1, can I find them anywhere? Nope. (Waitrose again, we don't have one here anymore!)
Grrr.
Anyone else?

Yes! Every time I find something I love, it seems like it gets discontinued!
I still mourn Nutri-grain ginger breakfast bars & Milky bar Choos!

IfIWasTheMan · 23/09/2019 00:04

I’m still not over Heinz discontinuing toast toppers. The chicken and mushroom ones were divine and I get the rage whenever I remember they’ve gone.

BRING THEM BACK!

SapphireSeptember · 23/09/2019 22:18

Oh, Heinz had some lovely pasta pouches that you could just bung in the microwave and they were delicious, I miss those!

Some of these things are not completely discontinued, (yet) just hard to get hold of.

Green & Black's chocolate orange bars, they were lovely and I miss them. Sad I've gone off Green & Black's, it doesn't taste as nice as it used to and the bars have shrunk (90g instead of 100g, I resent paying the same for less chocolate!)

Nked Posh Bits. Bags of little date/cashew things in mandarin or raspberry flavour. What I eat when I fancy a sweet thing with a cup of tea. Lovely.
Used to be able to get them in Holland & Barrett, Sainsbos and Waitrose. Now nowhere stocks them at all. It’s so annoying!

Bloodybridget · 24/09/2019 02:11

You can hardly get a simple herb tea any more, it's all detox this and green that. Or a bar of good whole hazelnut milk chocolate (not Cadbury crap).

MissLadyM · 24/09/2019 02:20

Birds Eye Baked to Perfection chicken breast with ham & cheese and prawns in chilli. So sad to see them disappear. The fish variety is still around bit it's bloody awful.

PrimaDonna123 · 24/09/2019 07:17

Weetabix minis in fruit and nut flavour were all my DS would eat for breakfast. Can’t get them anywhere now and the amount of cereal I have bought and thrown away because it’s not good enough is crazy!

Ellabella989 · 24/09/2019 07:20

Marble chocolate bars! I used to get one everyday after school and they were HEAVEN!

Gu used to do a chocolate mousse thing which was the best dessert ever too.

Kinsters · 24/09/2019 07:22

Waitrose used to do this amazing chicken thing that was breaded chicken with cheese and ham on the top. Omg I loved them so much and ate so many at university then after uni we moved to a different city and never saw them again 😭😭

AgentProvocateur · 24/09/2019 07:24

This is the story of my life with Pret. A first world problem indeed, but they have discontinued all my favourite things over the years.

Dowser · 24/09/2019 09:52

With me it’s dresses.
I like a certain style of dress and the store I bought them from is no longer stocking them
So I’m very 😡

spiderlight · 24/09/2019 10:02

Tesco chocolate tea. Loved it so much :(

Clarabellawilliamson · 24/09/2019 10:43

@Bloodybridget you need to find a local polish shop. They usually have a great range of non fussy herbal tea for pence! I've recently moved house and miss my local polish shops so much!

Bloodybridget · 24/09/2019 10:51

Yes I bet @Clarabellawilliamson - it's mostly Turkish minimarkets round my way, and to be fair they are pretty good for herb teas. But the main supermarket chains are hopeless now!

MrsFezziwig · 24/09/2019 11:03

Merba Apple Pie cookies. Can’t remember where I actually used to get them from as I’m a bit of a floating customer but have been round all my usual haunts (big supermarkets + Home Bargains etc.) & none to be found. Think I can get them online from wholesale shops but would have to register, pay postage & buy minimum 20 packets. No downside then. Grin

BirthdayCakes · 24/09/2019 11:52

Lloyd Grossman's rendang sauce - yes I know but it was absolutely delicious..

TaliZorahVasNormandy · 24/09/2019 12:54

Lidl did froggles. Gluten free crisp which were the best. Dont do them now.

Foxyloxy1plus1 · 24/09/2019 13:40

M&S Welsh cakes have disappeared. Sainsbury’s are not the same. I don’t normally shop in M&S, but popped into the local food one for them. The label is still in the shelf, but the shelf is empty and has been for weeks.

MadisonMontgomery · 24/09/2019 13:46

Ohhhh yes Marble bars! And Nature Valley coconut flavour bars were my favourite thing ever for about 5 minutes then they discontinued them 😭

HilsT · 24/09/2019 13:46

@PrimaDonna123 Fruit n Nut Weetabix minis were back in my local Tesco last week! I have missed them too, so was glad to see them back!

Ginfordinner · 24/09/2019 13:47

Or a supermarket has replaced a branded product with their own brand, and it never tastes as good.

OwnerofanAngryCat · 24/09/2019 13:54

Ifiwastheman, my dh is still bitter about the pizza toast toppers being discontinued. He wrote to to Heinz about it, but they never replied.

SapphireSeptember · 24/09/2019 23:27

Another one I've thought of, Sainsbury's were going to sell rhubarb and vanilla flavour tea. Great, I thought, one of our local pubs has a tearoom that sells something similar and I love it. Ticket on the shelf, asked and was told it was going to be in next week, I kept checking back and eventually the ticket disappeared, the tea never showed up and I was none the wiser. I did email them and ask but never heard back. Sad I have no idea what was going on there!

Oooh and Asda 'finest' range did a large Black Forest mousse/trifle. By God it was magnificent. Why the hatred for Black Forest and lemon meringue for the matter!? Ps please don't tell me, my arse will thank you

BeetrootBasil · 25/09/2019 00:33

Herbal Essences Soft and Smooth. I found some in a tiny chemist and bought all eight bottles. Nothing else cuts it.
