Does anyone else get really annoyed when you can't find things you like anymore?

Case in point, Lipton iced tea in elderflower and rose. Sainsbo's have stopped selling it (Waitrose and Amazon still do though.) Urban Noodles sweet and sour noodles, I really like them and I can't find them anywhere! (Sweet and sour noodles seem to have gone out of fashion which makes me sad.) I like these things and I bought them all the time! Sad I will be getting the teabags from Amazon eventually. Doubly annoying because Sainsbo's still sell one flavour (out of five) and it's the one I liked the least!
Loacker chocolate wafers were another, Wilkos used to sell massive packs for £1, can I find them anywhere? Nope. (Waitrose again, we don't have one here anymore!)
Grrr.
Anyone else?

SpinySue · 25/09/2019 00:38

Walkers Lights, gone! Just like that! They were my favourite, still crisps but not quite as oily.

Fuma · 25/09/2019 00:40

They were fucking with you @sapphireseptember. @bloodybridget pukka teas are nice and not all detox. Lots of supermarkets sell them.

I have a long list of lost loves:
17 makeup
Gucci II perfume
M&S croque Monsieur in a jar
Boasters biscuits
Old style pot noodles with proper preservatives and enumbers
Pear drops (not vanished but v hard to find - only in pound shop and not always then)
Time delay moisturiser
Simon mayo drivetime

I had been thinking the other day that I had not seen lemon meringue pie for years!

Hovis low carb bread, Tesco high protein bread, Burgen Soya and Linseed Bread (well only available in one supermarket). It upsets me so much I end up just buying white warbutons rather than find a nice healthy bread again.

I also miss Tesco WIcked Tofu, grains and veg ready meal. Pricey but perfect for the nights I work late.

Over 10 years ago, I was raving about M&S rosmary flavoured crisps.

Nope, gone before I could find another packet.

Butterflykiss00 · 25/09/2019 01:20

@IfIWasTheMan I loved them too 😩

Butterflykiss00 · 25/09/2019 01:25

Mccoys thick cut cheddar and red onion crisps , sooo sad they've gone

Korvalscat · 25/09/2019 01:50

M & S seem to have stopped selling their Marlborough buns which i loved and where I live they were the last teacake/tea ring with the sugar pieces on - all the rest have bloody icing. I know other regions still have the sugared tea rings/bread because when on holiday/days out I manage to find them but in my area we get the crappy icing.
Also M&S used to sell mushroom pancakes. A thin pancake rolled up around a creamy mushroom filling which were one of my favourite foods ever but I haven't seen any for donkey's years.

Bloodybridget · 25/09/2019 04:04

Thanks @Fuma, my local supermarkets do have some Pukka teas but not the simple peppermint, camomile, lemon and ginger ones my DP likes (I only really drink black tea).

Whenever there’s a thread like this I mourn the loss of M&S chicken tikka sandwiches with mint and yoghurt dressing on malted bread. They were the best sandwiches EVER . I am hoping one day a bigwig at M&S will read this and reintroduce them, every time I’m in there I look to see if it’s happened. Also,M&S Lemon mousse chocolate bars.

DH and D.C. are very sad that Nescafé have quite recently discontinued the gingerbread lattes in sachets. They loved them.

SapphireSeptember · 25/09/2019 20:42

Bloody Twinings, Sainsbury's and Asda do those kind of teas, as do Lidl and Aldi (although I haven't been in ours for a while.) If you get really stuck try ebay!

Fuma I think they most certainly are! Bastards. Sad Asda do rhubarb and custard tea, which might be similar to the one I like from said local tea shop. (Need to make a trip to Asda methinks, our nearest one is in the nearest city to here.)

Lagerfeld Sun Moon Stars perfumer.

Was my signature scent for years and years and reminds me of happy times. Cheap as chips too.

Now discontinued and makes me genuinely sad. Selling on eBay for muchos money, which I refuse to pay. If anyone has a spare bottle lurking, please let me know!

Jupiters · 25/09/2019 22:14

Perfumes! Iv to be there kidss of death for perfumes... As soon as I found one I like it gets discontinued. Victoria Secrets, Agent Provocateur, several others ones, all discontinued just after I'd discovered the scent!
