How fussy are primark with returns?

PinkCandle · 21/09/2019 08:34

I will phone when they are open, but does anyone have any experience?

I bought a few things for DH and the kids and they tried them on at home and kept about two thirds of them.

The others have been sitting in the bag for the last five weeks 🙈 ready to return. I thought it was four weeks and was going to return them today. Shit, the last day was last Saturday 😩

They are perfect with tags. What are my chances?

They tell you on the receipt our primark circles it for you and you are never going to go back because you made a mistake?

Ilikewinter · 23/09/2019 11:53

Another entitled customer, you knew the t&c and know that you are a week outside of the refund date so why are you so surprised??

MrsMaiselsMuff · 23/09/2019 11:56

Do you realise how ridiculous you sound OP?

They have lost me as a customer for life.

That gave me a good laugh.

littleduckeggblue · 23/09/2019 12:12

Spitting the dummy out OP. It was your own fault

LolaSmiles · 23/09/2019 12:14

Losing your custom for life because you bought a load of stuff to try at home and left it over a month to return?

Gottobefree · 23/09/2019 12:16

Bit dramatic you didn't look at the policy 28days which is pretty standard!
Keep the tags on and keep the receipt. It was your laziness that made it stay in the bag for 5 weeks... not their fault.

Honestly Primark have a great returns policy and have never had a problem with them..... if you follow the policy. I don't think they will miss you

neonglow · 23/09/2019 12:17

I’ve gone over the ‘28 days’ before- I’ve simply returned the items without the receipt and explain that I’ve lost it. I’ve always been refunded with a credit note to spend in-store Smile The only issue is that sometimes the items will have dropped in price for sales and obviously you can only be refunded the current value. I still find it preferable to trying to sell them on myself though.

Soola · 23/09/2019 12:19

Op’s gone to have her hair done to cheer herself up .....

To be fair to Primark (or any store) they don’t even legally have to refund you for changing your mind. Most do of course but the fact Primark allow 28 days means they’re being pretty reasonable.

baldpate · 23/09/2019 12:30

Primary’s return policy is brilliant. No shop has to refund because you’ve made an error, further compounded by your laziness. Enjoy your flounce 😂

MogHog · 23/09/2019 12:32

Customers like you make my day Grin

DNAwrangler · 23/09/2019 12:36

I'd say she meant they've lost her custom because the email was snotty...

Cohle · 23/09/2019 12:40

They've lost you as a customer for life because they've followed their own, clearly set out, policies? Ok Karen.

RavenLG · 23/09/2019 12:44

Tantrums rarely work for children, never mind adults op. Grin
You said “again” regarding them emailing you? What was the first “snotty” email? And when did you email them about this, as your OP never mentioned you emailed them, and said you were going to call them today?

YOU were in error here. You were chancing it and trying your luck even emailing, so throwing toys out the pram at their “snotty” email is hilarious. I’m sure customers who try and get one over on them won’t be missed.

italianfiat · 23/09/2019 13:13

I'd say she meant they've lost her custom because the email was snotty...

For god sake, she is throwing her toys out of the pram. Primark customer service are not sending out 'snotty' emails at all, they will have sent one that says 'sorry, no, you can't do that. Our policy is 28 days'. They have no reason to be 'snotty'. By 'snotty' OP obviously means 'reiterating their policy'

@managedmis Yes Ma’am!

RezCowgirl · 23/09/2019 13:39

Alright Karen

skinoncustard · 23/09/2019 14:09

They won't even do an exchange ( same colour, same price, just different size ) without a receipt. No credit note either.

BearSoFair · 23/09/2019 14:44

Grin Can I share my favourite 'you've lost me as a customer now' story? I had a lady try to get a refund on her diary IN OCTOBER because 'the pages are getting a bit dog eared' well yes they would be if you've been using it for 10 months Hmm 'But I have the receipt, how can you refuse?' the receipt is dated the 3rd of January, it's now the 25th of October!

BadLad · 23/09/2019 14:44

They have lost me as a customer for life.

Well, look on the bright side - you won't have to wear those wretched rags any more.

CupoTeap · 23/09/2019 18:37

@neonglow not anymore they won't
