Songs that irritate the crap out of you?

For me it's Taylor Swift's 'Gorgeous'...no reason other than it annoys me with the stupid "ting" triangle thing. Dd1's scrolling Youtube atm & has put it on just to wind me up

What songs irritate you...just because they do?

Sound of silence by Disturbed.
I like Disturbed but do not fuck about with a classic.

Anything by Lily Allen - especially Smile. Hate her annoying, childish, mockney voice and instantly turn radio or TV over whenever she is on.

Any rap song, but can tolerate small amounts of rap is a song that's otherwise good (Crazy in Love being prime example, but still think song would be better minus JayZ).

Mull of Kintyre, along with most other songs by P Mac and Wings (Live and Let Die was OK for a Bond theme tune, but the rest of their songs are forgettable crap).

About 99% of heavy metal songs.

All cover versions of Without You. The original is good, and especially poignant as one of the band members/writers committed suicide, but all other versions seem way overdone.

@ginghambox - I didn't know that anyone else had done a cover of Sound of Silence (Simon & Garfunkel's brilliant song). I'm surprised anyone would go there, how could they better the original masterpiece?

That reminds me - another one for the list is Madonna's dreadful version of American Pie. Just WHY?!? It's not like she needed the money!

I can't get past any adult woman who sings in a whiny baby voice. Seems so prevalent lately. I can get past a lot but this I cannot.

Also can't stand guys who can't seem to form whole words.

I keep thinking of others but there's one out at the moment called Castles by Freya somebody or other, where her pronunciation is so mangled that she manages to turn "I'm gonna build castles from the rubble of your love" into "Ahm gon' beel CARRSUWWS f' th' rubber o' yer lurrr". The song is fairly inoffensive in itself but the radio has to go off because her voice is so unpleasant to listen to.

Shut up and Dance by Walk the Moon is awful. Makes me cringe.
