What the hell do I do? Had to pull.over as it was on my steering wheel at first. Tried to get it outside but couldn't manage it. I'm going to have to burn the car aren't I?

It's too late now - it's already rubbed its willy all over your steering wheel.....

KurriKurri · 05/09/2019 19:13

Catch it in a cup, it won't bite you very hard

We once got a furious wasp in the car while driving (I am allergic to wasp stings) I screamed 'WAAAAAASP' and pinched my husband's inner thigh hard in panic while he tried to control the car and shout 'why are you pinching me you maniac'.

In the end he managed to pull over and I leapt out of the car so he could deal with it. He's now an XH - this is one of the few happy memories I have of our time together Grin

I had one of those caught in my dressing gown the other morning. It strolled out across my chest (towards my throat) while I was making coffee. I screamed, flung off my dressing gown and was stood stark bollock naked except for my slippers in the kitchen, screamed some more as he ran across the floor, hyper ventilated a bit, kept yelping in fear and shock. And scarred DS16 for life as he came in to find out what the hell was going on......

drsausage · 05/09/2019 20:13

I had one like this crawl over my foot while I was driving.

I was 60 miles from home and there was a huge thunderstorm. I still considered walking.

slipperywhensparticus · 05/09/2019 20:17

This is my worst fear as a passenger I once nearly leapt into oncoming traffic when a huge spider ran at me I stopped and crushed it with my bag but still

managedmis · 05/09/2019 20:18

Yeah man, just pick it up gently

aintnutinchanged · 05/09/2019 20:39

Nope!! Car needs to go

TwatCat · 05/09/2019 20:46

I'm reading these responses and shocked at the number of people this has happened to.

And then I'm now panicking that this has never happened to me...
And with the law of averages or whatever the law is, I'm scared that this is at some point going to happen to me.

I'm now thinking of just abandoning my car just in case.

duffyluth · 05/09/2019 20:49

Leave the keys on the drivers seat for it and get the bus home.

westcountrychicken · 05/09/2019 20:50

I will swap for the mouse that just ran across my kitchen!

BlueCookieMonster · 05/09/2019 21:50

It’s the spiders car now OP, sorry 😐.

EraOfTheGrey · 05/09/2019 22:03

Driving along and pulled down sun visor a giant spider fell down and landed straight on my lap. I managed to pull over and screamed at some road workers to 'help me!'. Two burly men run over and pissed themselves laughing whilst removing said creature. I honestly did not feel like a drama queen.

penguingorl · 05/09/2019 22:26

Sorry OP but this thread is hilarious!

wheretoyougonow · 05/09/2019 22:40

Saw this and thought of you! 😂

EleanorReally · 05/09/2019 22:44

Wasps are far worse spiders normally live on the wing mirrors, clinging on for miles

EleanorReally · 05/09/2019 22:46

I often wonder how the spider feels, moving location like this

SandyGusset · 05/09/2019 22:49

Fuck that.

I'd get the bus tomorrow.

Littlegoth · 05/09/2019 22:49

Shit.

Burn it.

JustLooking2019 · 05/09/2019 22:54

Oh I really wish I hadn’t clicked on this thread. I’m horrified and like a pp, now terrified as this has never happened to me before. Must be my turn Sad

WhenDoISleep · 05/09/2019 22:57

I had one last year just casually bungee down on a web rope from behind the rear view mirror. It stayed there swaying gently with the movement of the car for the rest of the trip home - fortunately less than 10mins away. Once I parked up we exited swiftly and left it to it.

KellyMarieTunstall2 · 05/09/2019 23:06

I wish I hadn't looked at this thread! I'm so phobic, I'm dreading the spider season where they are creeping into to our homes and sitting on our bedsShock

Herefortheduration · 05/09/2019 23:20

I think it looks pregnant.

SamanthaJayne4 · 05/09/2019 23:23

I had a mouse living in my car a few years ago. It left piles of nut shells stacked on the engine brackets and managed to get into the glove box and chew some sweets. I put a dish of poison in the car overnight as I was worried it might chew something vital. I haven't had a big spider in the car yet (!) but do have the occasional one on the wing mirror.

NextTrainGoesToBEROWRA · 06/09/2019 01:53

Abandon your car to nature.

Scrap or burn. Whatever is the quickest.
