After days and days of threads about harrys stance on having more than two chidren. Which btw william has preached about the effect population growth has on the enviroment days after announcing he was adding to that population for the third time, and mass outrage about H&M taking a plane paid for by Elton on hoiliday and how wonderful Wills and kate were for their flybe.

Which i didn't hugely get because if the protests about tje sussexes were on ecological grounds then surely a fucking massive flybe plane has bigger engines and produces more admissions but oh look the cambridges fly economy .

So is no one actually going to mention that in fact no no they didnt fly economy at all what they did was use a massive poluting flybe plane as a private jet. Ahhh really ecological and abusolutely nothing like ecoonomy.

Did everyone really think they'd flown with everyone else? Two future kings of england flying economy? Pull the other one.

It was desogned to humilate tje little brother

@Lulualla

No one else can make the decision to use a Flybe aircraft other than flybe themselves. The aircraft was supposedly flown in from Humberside, Flybe do not have aircraft sitting at Humberside Airport. They do not operate into Humberside.

scotwood · 26/08/2019 16:51

So I'm calling bullshit on their denial

Call bullshit on the press who piled up half a story, ripped it apart and sewed it back together all wrong.

Lulualla · 26/08/2019 16:54

@scotwood

Eastern airways do. The flybe franchise. They had a branded plane there. It was flown. I'm not sure why you think these flights have been faked or something. They happened. The plane used was flybe branded. The rejected plane was not.

scotwood · 26/08/2019 16:59

Yes I know Eastern do. My point is that Flybe did not operate the flight.

Lulualla · 26/08/2019 16:59

Loganiar usually operate that flight on behalf of eastern airways, a flyeb franchise. The plane would have had a loganair livery. They didn't want a third party branded plane to get the publicity. So they flew in a plane from eastern airways. Last time I was on an eastern airways plane, I'm sure it had flybe branding on the door.

scotwood · 26/08/2019 17:04

Eastern have 2 aircraft of that type. The one which operated Prince Williams flight has small Flybe titles underneath the cockpit window on each side. I still don't really understand what you are trying to argue? Flybe didn't operate the flight. Which is what I was saying.

Lulualla · 26/08/2019 17:08

It wasn't Flybe branded. The press are talking shit.

It most likely did have flybe branding.

YouLookGood · 26/08/2019 17:10

You’ve made a bit of a prat of yourself here @NaughtToThreeSadOnions!

scotwood · 26/08/2019 17:10

It did have Flybe titles in it Sorry, it wasn't operated by Flybe. The press indeed have talked multiple piles of shit over the details.

Armi · 26/08/2019 17:41

Mummy195

Oh, right. Because your post read as if you were too intellectually unfortunate to realise you can catch internal flights. As apparently you aren’t, I’m sure you’re also able to grasp the fact that it’s far quicker and more convenient for many people to fly directly from Norwich to Aberdeen than it is to catch a bus or train, and as the Cambridges are presumably wanting to get to Aberdeen swiftly and easily from Norfolk they have caught a plane. They aren’t eco-warriors, after all, or did you expect them to walk barefoot?

Betaboo · 26/08/2019 19:17

Last minute booking it seems, definitely a reaction to the vitriol Harry and Meghan received, rather than being hypocritical .

From Laineygossip ..

""the airline’s general manager confirmed:

“Following a call and details provided late evening on Wednesday as to members of the Royal Family having been booked onto the service, and that armed Royal Protection Officers would accompany the family on-board, we elected, given this service is operated for Flybe by Eastern, to provide our own aircraft and crew, given the approvals and clearance required to accommodate such.”

This means that the Cambridges, having seen all the heat that Harry and Meghan were getting for their private jets, made a last minute change to their itinerary so as to not take the same heat. Which, to be fair, is understandable. When a member of your family is eating all kinds of sh-t in the media for doing something, you’re going to try not to do the same thing … even though, as I mentioned last week, Will and Kate fly on private jets to Balmoral all the time. Will and Kate weren’t being good environmental citizens? They were avoiding criticism – """

mrscampbellblackagain · 26/08/2019 19:23

Laineygossip is the most anti William and Kate and pro Harry and Meghan site out there. I would take everything on there with an enormous pinch of salt.

Ilikethisone · 26/08/2019 19:31

So basically William and Kate booked a flight and got on the plane that turned up.

Flybe decided to fuck around ending with an empty plane flying around to have them on a branded plane.

How is this William and Kate's fault? And how the hell were they meant to have known that flybe would fuck around flying an empty plane about?

Or have I missed something?

mrscampbellblackagain · 26/08/2019 19:35

I think that is pretty much it. William and Kate couldn't win in this one well unless they had maybe sailed from Norwich to Balmoral Wink

DisplayPurposesOnly · 26/08/2019 19:38

Also why take a plane in the first place, do you know how the queen gets to balmoral??? Oh by train!

You might want to read this article from the BBC. Apparently the royal train costs more per mile than flying although it might obviate the need for other costs (like hotels):

www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-49452836

Ilikethisone · 26/08/2019 19:38

I also dont get why people are saying 'aha.....they only did it because harry go so much shit'

Isnt that right? Backlash about taking private jets, next person to travel thinks 'yeah, that's right. We should take normal flights' and then changing their behaviour.

What's wrong with that?

Aaarrgghhh · 26/08/2019 19:42

I think OP needs to go back to school. The lack of understanding aside, I couldn’t read their post without it feeling choppy. But on topic, Kate and William haven’t said anything about the environment etc (happy to be corrected if wrong, I don’t follow all the news about them) and then jumped on four private planes, Harry and Meghan have, that’s what people have issue with, nothing else.

Ilikethisone · 26/08/2019 19:49

So did op think W&K were on one the empty planes?

Despite the article saying the opposite?

And then disappeared? After saying she had red the article.

I am guessing she is trying to get the thread pulled for privacy reasons.

Cant help wonder if OP works for H&M PR team.

Quaffy · 26/08/2019 19:54

I don’t understand what is being implied by the talk of whether it was a Flybe plane that flew or not

drquin · 26/08/2019 22:00

@Quaffy it's not usually a Flybe liveried aircraft which flies that route. The assertion is that Flybe chose to swap out the aircraft so it was one in their colours. By doing so, one of their aircraft and one of Loganair's flew empty legs. Thus if you were so inclined to argue, not so environmentally-friendly as first made out. But whether they did that for PR reasons or not, is hardly any passenger's fault.

PrincessPeachy23 · 26/08/2019 22:08

I used to work in aviation and yes it happens a lot where an empty aircraft is flown to a different airport to then be used for a scheduled flight. It’s actually very common! It would have had nothing to do with William and Catherine

Tojigornot · 26/08/2019 23:30

This thread keeps on giving. Someone referencing Lainygossip as a reliable source of information is almost as funny as the OP’s performance.

Mummy195 · 27/08/2019 00:11

Armi

As I had answered on another post on this thread, if people cared about convenience, then they would not be up in arms about H&M taking a private jet as that was convenient too.

Why is it ok for K&W to have convenience and not H&M, was my point.

Redglitter · 27/08/2019 00:22

No i do comphend the article

😂😂😂 Hmmm your posts kind of indicate the total opposite.

Aaarrgghhh · 27/08/2019 14:37

Mummy195 What don’t you understand? Harry and Meghan bleated on about the environment etc and then took 4 private planes in the space of two weeks. It’s the hypocrisy that has annoyed people, nothing else. I wouldn’t care if they flew private every single time they went somewhere as long as they weren’t telling me to cut down on my own footprint, especially when I don’t even drive a car and walk most places.
