Does anyone else hate the wind?

I know it's pointless disliking weather and I try not to , rain keeps our countryside green and beautiful etc etc but. I. Hate. The. Wind. It's blowing a gale (which is drying the laundry i'll grant it that) and it's making it a nightmare to be outside and I really hate the sound of howling wind.

I really really love it!

Ok, well now I know i'm a PITA pitta but have no idea what that means or how it relates to the weather. Still, gotta love taking a quiz.

I can remember reading something years ago but an association with highly windy areas in the world and the rates of suicide. It's always made sense to me. I think it's the way it feels as if you can't get away from it

MonsteraCheeseplant · 18/08/2019 18:26

Well that's freaky

I absolutely hate the wind. Have done since I was a child. I feel so panicky and my heart starts racing when it's windy. I check my weather app every day to see what the wind speeds are going to be over the next few days. I know this makes me sound crazy and I really should see someone for some help with it.

MillieMoodle · 18/08/2019 18:39

I hate the wind, it just makes me feel angry. I've done the quiz and I am Vata as well!

BertieBotts · 18/08/2019 18:43

I hate it in the UK but quite like it where I live now. It's just too cold and annoying.

BertieBotts · 18/08/2019 18:45

Yep, Vata - sensitive to cold it says :o

EleanorReally · 18/08/2019 18:47

I love it, particularly next to the sea

SinglePringle · 18/08/2019 18:55

I LOVE it!

I love the feeling of leaning in to really strong wind, of being on a speed boat or a open top car / driving with the window down.

I love that windswept feeling.

MiniMum97 · 18/08/2019 18:59

@taybert ha ha not just me then! Wind also makes me really angry! I even said on my wedding day I don't mind what the weather is as long as it's not windy! Lol!

RoryGillmoresEvilTwin · 18/08/2019 19:01

I love it!
It makes me feel exhilarated to stand in really strong wind. Roll on autumn and winter!

Thedevilofsmallthings · 18/08/2019 19:02

Don't like it at all, it spoils all other weather-sun, rain or snow are all much more pleasant without the wind. It gives me earache, a blocked up nose and messes with my hair.

I don't even like the blowers on in the car.

Perihelion · 18/08/2019 19:21

Love it. Especially riding a horse fast, when it's windy. Horses can go a bit bonkers in the wind.

MonsteraCheeseplant · 18/08/2019 19:33

How can you love it? It gives me earache too.

SinglePringle · 18/08/2019 19:38

The exhilarated feeling as a PP said. It’s amazing!

EleanorReally · 18/08/2019 19:41

Walking down the path surrounded by trees with the wind blowing is exciting

vampirethriller · 18/08/2019 19:43

I hate it. It makes me feel claustrophobic and like I'm choking. I live at the top of a hill and it comes at you from every direction so you can never not have it in your face.

Spudlet · 18/08/2019 19:45

A nice fresh breeze, yes. A full-on hooley, no. I don’t like not being able to hear properly and I have fine hair that tangled up easily so brushing it out after a windy day hurts, even when it’s been tied back!

It’s quite windy where we live as it’s fairly flat without many hedges (arable farming area), with the prevailing wind coming straight at the front of the house. The temperature of the house in winter is noticeably affected by the wind. Thankfully the wind changed for the Beast from the East or we’d have been miserably frigid indoors.

EleanorReally · 18/08/2019 19:49

I did walk next to the sea last autumn and could barely breathe, which was awful, but I had a chest infection

TheOnlySnot · 18/08/2019 19:50

The wind is an absolute twat who has no regard for me or my hair or my eyes. The wind can fuck the fuck off!

Daisychainsgetbroken · 18/08/2019 19:51

Agree. Saw someone very badly I jured yest from a falling massive tree branch. Very scary.

Expressedways · 18/08/2019 20:02

I live in the Windy City. I often have to think twice about my choice of skirt. And the wind chill in winter is like nothing else 🥶

Northernsoullover · 18/08/2019 20:04

I love it when I'm in bed. Hate it when I'm outside.
