FUCK ME, I've just had my first ever Lush bath bomb!

I was not expecting that! Navy blue water & tons of rose-gold glitter to wash out afterwards. I thought 'bloody hell if I step in that I'm gonna come out looking like a Smurf' Shock Nuclear waste is less bright. I stepped in but was afraid to sit down in case all that dye made my bits itchy... Hmm I'm not sure I'll be repeating the pleasure any time soon.... Grin

The shop is far too fragranced for me, I feel like I’m going to suffocate every time I walk past. I also think the bath bombs are really expensive. My MIL loves them so she gets them from me every Christmas. That’s the only time I go in the shop 😆

The anti-police messages were stupidly executed. They have a savvy marketing team so they knew damn well what it would look like, they knew it would look like "all police are liars" and they did it deliberately.

It was incredibly insulting and unnecessary. It also failed to spread its stated message. I'm really glad to read that others have stopped shopping there too.

Precisely. They lost my custom many years ago for a different reason, so I'm glad others have also stopped using them. I thought that the police campaign was in extremely poor taste.

@BringOnTheScience thanks for the recipe...dd2 likes a bathbomb so we'll have a look for the ingredients. Might even have a go with my Guides too :)

The deliberately misleading police campaign lost me as a customer too

EdWinchester · 04/08/2019 12:03

Just walking past Lush makes me feel sick - it’s so smelly!

Can’t imagine the pong of a bath bomb.

elasticfantastic · 04/08/2019 12:41

@Brahumbug of course corrupt abusive cops should be held to account, I said in my post the sentiment was good but the execution of the campaign was appalling because that was not the sentiment jumping out at the window campaign. And they knew that when they designed the campaign.

bakedbeanzontoast · 04/08/2019 12:49

There's another brand called bomb cosmetics; they do bath bombs at a more reasonable price for any of you who like them.

CakeNinja · 04/08/2019 13:26

My dc and I all love a lush bath/shower!
Every time we wash Lush is involved somewhere. I don’t ever notice any of their campaigns/look at window displays though so it’s all lost on me.
Never had thrush from a bubble bar in 20 years Confused

I, and teen Dd, have used tons over the years. Never had any issues. That's despite me having relatively sensitive skin elsewhere.

But you do need to rinse the bath out straight after to avoid staining the bath with some of them!
