I was not expecting that! Navy blue water & tons of rose-gold glitter to wash out afterwards. I thought 'bloody hell if I step in that I'm gonna come out looking like a Smurf' Shock Nuclear waste is less bright. I stepped in but was afraid to sit down in case all that dye made my bits itchy... Hmm I'm not sure I'll be repeating the pleasure any time soon.... Grin

RandomMess · 03/08/2019 21:36

Darkhistory · 03/08/2019 21:37

That sounds like one called Inter-galactic - it's my favourite! I love the glitter, which is currently sparkling beautifully on my suntanned skin (it doesn't make sensitive bits itch, fear not) and I bathe in the deep blue water up to my neck with a book and glass of chilled white wine Smile

itsboiledeggsagain · 03/08/2019 21:39

Are you supposed to put the whole thing in?

DontDribbleOnTheCarpet · 03/08/2019 21:49

I'm glad you didn't sit down- I've never used a Lush product which wasn't swiftly followed by a nasty case of thrush. You might have dodged a bullet there, or at least a pessary!

HugsAreMyDrugs · 03/08/2019 21:49

If it was sparkly and smelt like mint that it was probably the intergalactic. I used to love that one but haven't had one in ages. I haven't had any Lush bath in a long time come to think of it Sad.

HugsAreMyDrugs · 03/08/2019 21:51

FWIW I have never had thrush from using a Lush bath bomb and back when I was single and childless, I used to have Lush baths almost nightly.

Rory786 · 03/08/2019 22:17

My Lush bomb, its blue and minty is sitting on top of my bathroom cupboard and emitting its gorgeous smell. I dont want to use it!

elasticfantastic · 03/08/2019 22:20

I don't buy from lush. The whole anti police window and the 'national kiss day' where their young female staff had complete strangers kissing the t-shirts they were wearing.. most young Saturday staff not brave enough to refuse to the managers.. there's articles on it if you google. A shame as I liked some of their stuff but they won't get my money again.

elasticfantastic · 03/08/2019 22:23

To save the google.. mitheringsfrommorningside.wordpress.com/tag/lush-cruelty-free-kisses/

Huncamuncaa · 03/08/2019 22:24

My friend worked in Lush and a stranger came over to her in a restaurant, apologised and said, 'I just had to ask. Do you work in Lush? My partner thinks you smell like a bath bomb.'Blush

PennyGold · 03/08/2019 22:26

I love a good Lush bath bomb!

Samaranian · 03/08/2019 22:32

Nooo intergalactic is my absolute favourite. I save them up as a special treat and feel like I'm a mermaid in the space water.

Ive never had thrush.

It does trash your bath though

MangoSpice · 03/08/2019 22:39

I used to love Lush bath bombs! Especially if they had glitter in them Grin. Alas, these days they give me thrush.

Nothing better than seeing your OH glittering away as everything and everyone gets coated in the glitter!

RezCowgirl · 03/08/2019 22:42

I can't bring myself to spend that much bicarb with food colouring.

ineedawin · 03/08/2019 22:42

I love the smell of lush products but gosh they scream thrush!!

AngeloMysterioso · 03/08/2019 22:44

Have your eyes stopped watering yet?

Soola · 03/08/2019 22:45

I sometimes buy the Honey I washed the kids but I keep it in a tub and grate it with a little grater especially for bath bombs.

You only need a small amount

Aquamarine1029 · 03/08/2019 22:47

Bath bombs are horrible for your vagina. Avoid.

miaCara · 03/08/2019 22:48

But what happens to the glitter once its swirled away?
This article is from 2017 national geographic

TeaStory · 03/08/2019 22:53

@miaCara But what happens to the glitter once its swirled away?

That article refers to glitter made from plastic. Lush glitter is not made from plastic, it’s made from mica.

OP I LOVE Lush bath bombs. I’ve never had thrush in my life either.

listsandbudgets · 03/08/2019 23:24

Had to reread Teastorys post 3 times... once you've misread mica as mice your whole view of glitter becomes a little warped!

miaCara · 03/08/2019 23:29

@TeaStory thank you for your input.
I wasn't aware that there was such a thing as synthetic Mica but am very relieved that it does exist.
