I'm new to shopping at Aldi, please tell me your favourite items to add to my shopping list! I've already discovered the gin! 😊

Is Norpak really the same as Lurpak? I want to try it but I was told the Lidl version was just as good and it wasn't. It was like cutting soap and it was incredibly bland.

Their Belgian chocolate cheesecake- found in the freezer isle. Best I’ve ever had. Ever. (From a supermarket that is, but it takes some beating)

Their cat litter was a revelation. Doesn't smell, the cats don't track it through the house, and a tenth of the price of the one we were using.
Antipasti. Steaks. Tomato and mascarpone pasta sauce. Roast in a bag chickens are amazing - esp the green bag. Good fruit and veg. Nappies and wipes. Choc covered rice cakes and the bar versions. Their rosemary crackers are super addictive.

Thanks everyone. It's good to have a few recommendations!

coconuttelegraph: sorry I asked! I can't afford to buy everything in the shop so just wanted a few ideas on what other people / strangers on the internet like from there 😊

Is there now a Aldi troll? I swear we seem to get these types of Aldi type threads a lot of late.

Gertie75 · 24/07/2019 15:13

Norpak butter, not the half fat one, it's lovely on toast, they've recently added a spreadable version which is much easier to use so I now have it on sandwiches too.

The Lacura shampoo & conditioner is good, clearly a Tresemme rip off, also their own roll on deodorant, obviously based on Sure and works just as well for less than half the price.

BiBiBirdie · 24/07/2019 18:28

@MedalMedalMedal found that out by accident.
Was sick of my DCs nicking them all and having none left for treats, so hid them in the freezer drawer. DS found them and ate one and declared them nicer that way and so had to try it.
