It is illegal to film someone on a beach without their consent?

Have NC. This is a weird one but it's bugging me.

I sometimes look at an instagram account that has around 120k followers. This person is a somewhat public figure albeit very minor.

They are currently on holiday and they have twice posted footage of fellow holidaymakers on the beach. The footage is obviously supposed to be mocking their appearance. The last one was a video of a middle aged man in tight swim shorts. The footage lasts maybe 10 seconds or so and was accompanied by a shocked/bemused emoji face.

Is this legal? It's such a horrid thing to do to someone. I'm baffled about the motivation behind it.

Oblomov19 i don't follow them. As i said, i look occasionally as they post videos and pictures of some beautiful holiday destinations and restaurants.
This particular footage was a departure from that which is why I was taken aback. But as pp have informed me, he has uploaded similar footage before.
But I won't be looking at his account any more.

Stealth yes you're probably right in that sense. But partly I hope by naming him, he will be called out on his actions and be held accountable for them.
I don't know...it's naive but I didn''t realise this sort of thing was so casual and commonplace.
