I go there for cat food. And kwenchy cup drinks. And big bottles of cola and Setting lotion for my Mum. What do you like from B&M?

Watching with interest!
Mine doesn’t seem very exciting but there might be some hidden gems I’m missing out on

implantsandaDyson · 15/07/2019 16:08

Mayflower curry powder, twistables and Moam - lots and lots of Moam sweets.

TheDuchessofDukeStreet · 15/07/2019 16:10

What are twistables please Dyson?

Mrsjayy · 15/07/2019 16:16

TheDuchessofDukeStreet · 15/07/2019 16:23

Ooh, Smiths crisps, have not had those for years, memories of school lunches.

I recommend you stay home and watch something on Netflix instead. Trawling round B&M for weird junky bargains is not my idea of a night out.

TheDuchessofDukeStreet · 15/07/2019 16:24

Packed ones, that is.

Mrsjayy · 15/07/2019 16:32

I dont know if smiths has gone for a re launch I hadn't seen them in years the salt and vinegar are the tastiest !

TheDuchessofDukeStreet · 15/07/2019 16:42

Will look out for them, Mrs jay. I assumed Walkers or such had taken them over.

Teacake, all the best to you and enjoy your Netflix.

No energy, I’m not looking for anything special, I went in for cat food after comparing prices online. It’s rather like shopping in the Eighties again.

Ooh I went in one for the first time last week. It was like a very big Wilkinsons. Got some toiletries, a new peg bag and some my little pony wrapping paper.

Sweetooth92 · 15/07/2019 16:45

For us it always ends up being loads of American sweets & the multipack packed lunch type chocolate biscuit bars (I.e. Rocky, breakaway types)
Sometimes have decent bits for the kids in toys wise and we’ve had some ridiculously cheap decorating supplies of branded nice paintbrushes etc which really surprised me!

DogbertDogglesworth · 15/07/2019 16:54

I buy the catering sized bags of teabags in there, at £10.99 for 1000 it would be criminal not to.
I also buy heinz highlander soup as I can't seem to find it anywhere else.
Dog treats are good value in there too.

TheDuchessofDukeStreet · 15/07/2019 16:55

My partner likes the Fibre one bars for his pack-ups. They are half the price in B&M compared to a supermarket.

My Dds bedroom furniture came from there looks like the cotswold company furniture i thought it would fall to bits after a year but it has lasted 4.

Veronicat · 15/07/2019 17:10

I got a lovely China bee jug there recently for flowers and its the only place I know that sells chocomocha shower gel. The dog beds and treats are fab value too.

PonderingPanda · 15/07/2019 17:17

Marshmallow maties cereal

Yabbers · 15/07/2019 17:20

Do they do cheese savouries?

ZenNudist · 15/07/2019 17:24

Top tip: stay home. B&M is full of shit you dont need. People go in for cheaper washing powder and spend more buying cheap shite on top that they'd never buy if they just picked it up with their supermarket shop.

Mrsjayy · 15/07/2019 17:25

Ive only seen cheese savouries at Christmas they do big bags. My dog isn't allowed a fancy bed because he is an arse so iget the plastic ones from B&M .

DinoEggz · 15/07/2019 17:25

Some of them occasionally have peanut butter M&Ms which are hard to come by in the UK. The chocolate and sweets are all pretty cheap. Plants can be good value too if you go on delivery day (when the plants are fresh and healthy because they haven’t yet been neglected by the staff).

MarieKlepto · 15/07/2019 17:29

If you have indoor litter tray/s, their Silica Crystals litter is amazing. Less than half the price of the Bob Martin equivalent and really efficient. Also. among other things, tubes of garlic and chilli paste and tomato puree (39p), jars of Biscotti spread (99p?), and if they are in stock they do bags of green olives in brine (3 for £1) that are lovely. Good for run of the mill toiletries but avoid their Jo Malone dupe range - they're pretty rank.

8misskitty8 · 15/07/2019 17:32

Those looking for smiths crisps, home bargains sell them in multipacks of ready salted, salt n vinegar or cheese and onion. They also sell a mixed flavour multipack. 99p for 7 packets.
At least they do at my local one.

Individual flapjacks! The type you get at train station kiosks and overpriced museum cafes. I think they are 29p or very similar at B&M and great for packed lunches, pretzel sticks. Japanese rice crackers, tinned coconut milk and chickpeas are super cheap there too. Disney diecast Cars are what I mostly go in for though!
