Hi,

My DS is 2 in July and has everything but I've been asked by numerous people what he would like and I'm a tad stumped

Some things he currently has;
Slide
Water table
Seesaw
Balance bike
Skuttle bug
Brio trainset
Duplo
Toot toot
Building blocks
Peg puzzles
Word cards
Kitchen
Happyland sets

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated

A day out?
Signing him up for a fancy baby group?

Kpo58 · 05/07/2019 21:23

Money to go into long term savings as he's probably too young to care about birthdays

DelurkingAJ · 05/07/2019 21:27

If he likes his Brio could you get him one of the special bits. DS2 adores the BigJigs lifting bridge and the Brio car park.

pastabest · 05/07/2019 21:30

Books
Vouchers for local attractions
A pop up tent
Stuff to go in a craft box
Mini trampoline
More duplo
A mini keyboard/ guitar
New bed covers

A massive cardboard box full of balloons, and pens to draw on it

Muddlingalongalone · 05/07/2019 21:30

Ikea gymnastics mat - about £20. They get used folded up to jump off/as a stage, to lie on comfy for drawing, for tea parties/restaurant/hotels in my house as well as for their actual use and safer than the carpet. Wipe clean & huge to unwrap so look super-impressive to small children.

sounds like he doesn't need more stuff. I would ask for money to do things and a token present from you at 2 he won't have any expectations

Teachermaths · 05/07/2019 21:33

Definitely money or annual pass to an attraction. He has a lot of stuff already.

meepmoop · 05/07/2019 21:35

Thanks everyone for the suggestions!

I was thinking just to say money for his account but they tend to like to buy stuff.

A day out, peppa pig world or CBeebies or wherever is local

MrsTerryPratchett · 05/07/2019 21:45

Savings and a favourite book! The givers favourite not DS's!

HoustonBess · 05/07/2019 21:51

Bags or little shopping baskets. DD has had years of fun filling and emptying them. One of those little life rucksacks so he can carry toys out and about. Plus side is they don't take up much space.

BubblesBuddy · 05/07/2019 22:45

Books! Why don’t you have any? There are amazing books for children and lovely poetry books too. Try nursery rhymes. It’s fun choosing books for children. Also starting to love books helps vocabulary as children start chatting about the characters. Ask everyone to buy a book!

Bath toys
Clothes (t-shirt or pj’s) of a favourite character or tv show

InvisibleHamster · 06/07/2019 06:58

Play doh is handy as it goes dry so needs replacing.

EssentialHummus · 06/07/2019 06:59

Books, vouchers for local days out, clothes in next size up.

angelopal · 06/07/2019 07:01

Play doh, stamp sets. Self inking at that age makes less mess. Black board and chalk. Jigsaw puzzles.

Trumpton · 06/07/2019 07:04

Plastic tea set for the bath .
