Why would someone store small amounts of urine?

Whilst tidying I’ve just found several jars of what I think is urine. I’m not quite brave enough to sniff it yet. They’re not doctors samples as they’re in the little jam pots you get in hotels (I thought they were honey at first but definitely too liquid!). I think they’re also fairly old (another reason I don’t want to sniff), at least a couple of weeks due to the stuff in front of it?

Any ideas? It’s in the room used by my estranged dh. He’s still here at weekends atm until everything is sorted. I’m pretty sure if it was health related he’d have told me and he’d have used the proper pots they give you at the doctors. It’s a really weird thing to find. No weird kinks as far as I know, although I have no idea what he’s getting up to during the week.

I know someone who used to sell ‘clean urine’ I.e drug free to help you pass drug tests.

mustdrivesoon · 03/07/2019 20:29

Selling clean urine to drug users.

Or

Does he get urine tested at work and he is a user so he keeps backup clean urine?

NeatFreakMama · 03/07/2019 20:31

Yeah that was my thought too, drug test.

bottomfellout · 03/07/2019 20:32

Oh God. Yes he probably does get drug tested at work. He’s always been very anti drugs though. Shit.

I hadn't considered drug tests at all. What the fuck? If he lost his job he’d lose his professional qualification and we’d all be completely fucked.

Is there any other possible use for it?

Selling it to colleagues who aren't clean?

Fifteenthnamechange · 03/07/2019 20:36

I agree re drug tests tho criminal justice services often test the temperature too

Apolloanddaphne · 03/07/2019 20:37

I was given a sample of whisky at a distillery recently in a pot like that. It looked very suspicious I have to say! DH drank it when I got home though.

TokyoSushi · 03/07/2019 20:38

It's either a) a weird fetish b) something to do with a medical condition that you're not aware of c) most likely something to do with drugs testing for him/others

One this that is certain, it's not for a good reason!

TokyoSushi · 03/07/2019 20:39

If its urine that is, could be whiskey or similar

OhMyGodTheyKilledKenny · 03/07/2019 20:41

Where in the room were they?

Somewhere fairly open or hidden?

it might give a clue

swapsicles · 03/07/2019 20:41

Too lazy to use the loo in the night?

blamethecat · 03/07/2019 20:42

Aged urine ? en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Urine_therapy

YouWhoNeverArrived · 03/07/2019 20:43

How big are the jars? If they're big I'd just assume he wees into a container when he needs a wee at night to save himself the hassle of walking down the corridor to the loo. Clearly if they're tiny containers that wouldn't apply.

MummyToEthan · 03/07/2019 20:44

That's strange

bottomfellout · 03/07/2019 20:47

They’re tiny containers and his bedroom is right next to a bathroom. Right I’m going sniffing.
