We're going to town for a couple of hours' wander, shortly, before it gets too hot. Then home & most likely chill in the shade I think.

Need to convince DD1 that she really really doesn't need to wear leggings, a hoody, and her boots, first though Hmm Confused (she's not far off 13 & apparently they're the "only clothes" she has Hmm ).

Tea will be something with chips, dd2 discovered yesterday that Asda sell chip spice similar to what take-aways use on their chips Grin

I have several loads of washing to do, and there's a pile of pots staring at be but they can wait.

What about you lot? :)

Trying to explain to a deaf dog why we can't go for walk in this heat, entertaining a sweaty baby and watching X Files on Amazon. I'd forgotten how good they were, they're dated but I do love Fox Mulder!

Bezalelle · 29/06/2019 16:53

Been to a Bar Mitzvah this morning. Now home on sofa feeling grotty and hoping it's because I'm pregnant! Promised myself I won't test until Monday.

It's just started raining so I think i will stay on sofa. DCat just graced me with his presence.

bbcessex · 29/06/2019 16:55

Am in the lounge with DD and a fan on the dog!

Good luck Bezalelle 🤞🤞

Lolling in the garden and watering the flowers, out for breakfast on the beach, out to another beach for a swim, vegging in the garden with gin then BBQ tea tonight. Basically, Jack all.

Currently on holiday in Cyprus with DH, DS1, DS2 and our nanny. This morning we all swam, DH played golf, DS1 went to the kids club for a bit and I got sun burnt Angry

Right now, DH is putting DS1 to sleep, our nanny is putting DS2 to sleep, and I’m sat in the garden enjoying the last bit of sun and having a nice cold beer. We’re heading home tomorrow and I’m dreading it!

Nononononono33 · 29/06/2019 17:07

We had a lovely evening out at the races last night in the sun. Had a few wines so thought today would be a quiet day with just a bit of a tidy up in the garden then sitting in the sun. The tidy up turned into a full morning of gardening including all mowing, weeding and hedge trimming. Am suitably exhausted and achy (DH a bit worse after falling off a ledge on his shoulder) but pleased to have done it all, so I can justify the papers, barbecued sausages and watching Glastonbury for the rest of the day. I’m so looking forward to The Killers!

We've been in the garden most of the day. Dh has gone to get kebabs because no one wants to cook in this heat 😁

userxx · 29/06/2019 17:19

Yes to kebabs. Not a chance that oven is being turned on. I've strummed, mowed and dug out various plants that I didn't like. I've also burnt myself 🙈

missyB1 · 29/06/2019 17:23

Walked the dog at 8am before it got too hot for her. Then spent most of the day at ds school for speeches and prize giving- yawn..
lighting the bbq soon though Smile

Someonesayroadtrip · 29/06/2019 17:30

Took the kids to climbing club and husband and I climbed at the same time. Then popped to McDonald's for drinks, went home and emptied bedroom to do laminate flooring tomorrow, then to my mums for a BBQ. Going home soon. Thinking maybe a film or maybe starting the laminate, probably the former.

bourbonbiccy · 29/06/2019 18:16

Been to visit my lovely best friend, then came home had everyone round in the garden with the music on chilling in the paddling pool.
Everyone has gone, starting bedtime with my DS

Eminybob · 29/06/2019 18:24

I had a speed awareness course this morning - 4 hour course and 40 min drive each way so didn’t get back til after 1. Then I picked DH and the DSs up from the park and we had an afternoon in the beautiful town of Buxton which is just up the road from us. Had lunch, ice cream and a stroll in the park. Bliss, but we are all hot bothered and exhausted now (except baby ds2 who is worryingly full of bean for this time of night)

Titsywoo · 29/06/2019 18:27

I've had a really productive day! Slept in until 9 then had some breakfast and went over to my allotment to give it a good watering. Spent about 5 hours with DH sorting all the stock for the business we run from our house. DD had a friend over and DS went to a local festival with his mate. Now I'm chilling on the sofa while DH and DD are at her school play helping out. Got everything out of the way today so can relax tomorrow!

boxlikeamarchhare · 29/06/2019 19:36

Relaxing tomorrow sounds good titsy. I am pooped after my day at the beach 😂, has a 90 minute nap when we got back.

I was planning on shopping tomorrow, taking Dd clothes shopping, deep joy. But my boiler is playing up and British Gas are now coming out tomorrow afternoon - amazing service or what. So I will be planting my new plants and relaxing myself 😎.

Boulezvous · 29/06/2019 21:21

Today I went to see my old Dad as usual having checked in with my DS who I had to pick up late last night from a party as he was wasted. At my Dads out of the blue my niece who I'm really close with turned up with her new boyfriend (her first serious boyfriend). He seemed really nice.

Popped into the supermarket and cane home - unpacked my shopping and gave my DS and his girlfriend some lunch. I then fell asleep. Around 4.30 I picked up DD from the station as she'd been working, had a cool bath and then cooked a chilli con carne. Now watching TV with DD.

Adversecamber22 · 29/06/2019 21:55

DH ran and I walked park run early this morning, met a friend for lunch. DS is away with friends, first time out clubbing so I’m a bit worried. DH and I ate ice cream and drank Pimms in the garden, chatted and di the times crossword and then watched a film.
