We're going to town for a couple of hours' wander, shortly, before it gets too hot. Then home & most likely chill in the shade I think.

Need to convince DD1 that she really really doesn't need to wear leggings, a hoody, and her boots, first though (she's not far off 13 & apparently they're the "only clothes" she has ).

Tea will be something with chips, dd2 discovered yesterday that Asda sell chip spice similar to what take-aways use on their chips

I have several loads of washing to do, and there's a pile of pots staring at be but they can wait.

What about you lot? :)

Heading into London later 😫 for the baseball. Which I’m already feeling anxious about and the heat is just an added horror.

Going to see the Levellers at Halifax,huge day out,getting ready to travel, can't wait

The first really hot day of the summer here, so I am just about to power wash the patio. It has been too cold and miserable up until now.

Travelling on public transport in the hottest part of the day, walking within ten foot of where my brother was killed two months ago (accident), helping set up a venue, three hours of dress rehearsal (no chance of the dress part of that), coming home, getting tarted up, then travelling back and standing for the best part of 2 hours in a packed building wearing a full length velvet evening gown with a bunch of large guys in dinner jackets and hoping that I don't faint.

Then coming back.

These are the days where I think it would improve my life immeasurably if DP had a permanent job and a car with air con, as it's going to be unbearable for the majority of it. (I can't drive for medical reasons).

And then I've been coerced into giving up my Sunday to go into work to save kids with a frankly lackadaisical approach to their education from experiencing the natural consequences of their (in)actions. So I'll be sulking about that for the rest of the time.

Sat in the sun for a bit, took DD to gym class, now sitting in the lounge with curtains drawn and an iced coffee. So relieved DCs don't want to go to the fair and would rather stay at home!

2 loads of washing done already, quick whizz round the house and now we're off into town. I'm getting my nails and eyebrows done while DH and DD sort my birthday presents then Toy Story 4 at the cinema. Out with the girls tonight because it's my birthday on Monday

DD is very excited for the cinema because she's been promised ice cream

Chores this morning whilst boys are at football with h - must do the floors after this! Then shower.
Then lunch at home, take ds1 to party and take bil to swap some shoes, collect ds1 and go out to family for dinner.

Walked to town early with the kids to post some parcels and buy sandals.

Chucked them in the garden with a hose when we got back.

Now happily eating cold picnic food and watching cartoons!

I’m now trying to get my fluid refusing toddler to take on fluids. No to ice lolly, ice cream, milk, water or juice. He’s slowly eating a single strawberry.
Give me strength.

Chuck him in the paddling pool and suggest he drinks from the hose. Always worked for mine!

Picked up some cat litter and a parcel from the delivery office. (An umbrella, ha ha) walked into town for a latte and a cup of tea. Then home for a pre night shift nap. It's going to be hideous on the ward tonight as it will be so hot.

Day at the beach here. An hour’s drive from home but worth it to relax and listen to my latest audio book.

We don’t have a paddling pool. Or an outside tap. And our garden is down a flight of stairs 😂

We've already taken DD to her dance class and visited ILs. I'm baking for our church pot luck lunch tomorrow and this afternoon we'll be trying to keep cool while I think of something I can do for dinner where I don't have to use the oven again!

Ashamed to admit it in this lovely weather but probably going to lie on the sofa in the front room with the shutters shut and the fan on so its dark and cool. It is blazing out here and I really enjoyed it yesterday but I can't face sitting in the sun again today, it's just too hot! DH is going out in a bit and I have lots of Netflix to catch up on

Absolutely nothing apart from providing food and water to children.

Really struggling in the heat. Eating an Ice lolly and watching horrible histories.

Hiding inside, its way too hot to so anything outdoors.

We e had a lie-in, put some washing out and I've taken dd for her riding lesson.
I'm going to continue with the washing until the basket is empty and I'm cleaning the inside of the car which looks like someone has emptied a rubbish bag in there! And I may do some more gardening.
It's gone a little cooler here and it's forecast thunderstorms for later.
Later friends are coming around for dinner, so a relaxing Saturday.

Replacing my shower and rerouting the bathroom tiles, then taking up the vinyl floor ready for pretty new tiles to go down. There's about 1.5m x 15.m of floor that's not under the bath, so it won't take me long. I also have a nice new bath panel to fit and some shelves to put up then the bathroom will be finished, once I retouch any paint that needs it after I finish crashing about in there.

I have beer, ice lollies and a really powerful fan so I should hopefully not melt to death while I'm doing it.

Nothing.
We were out last night so catching up with Glastonbury. Too hot.

Been out on the bikes with the DC this morning before it got too hot.

DC then had a mass try on session of holiday clothes - most of them fit so I'm fairly pleased with that!

DD2 and DH have just made burgers for our BBQ later. DH is in the garden (despite having a "poorly shoulder" which means he couldn't do the ironing or push the bike this morning...) and the DC are fighing playing.

We've been to the school summer fair and are now going to sit in the paddling pool with ice creams.
