@Backwoodsgirl, what does squirrel taste like, and is it not a pain to prepare?

My DSs so eat all kinds of things because they have been forced to since birth - grandparents on one side only eat Korean and the other set of grandparents live in the sticks in France and only eat regional food (eg, andouille - yuck). Risotto is tame compared to some of the things they have come across.

trinitybleu · 22/06/2019 18:15

Using up some odd bits in the freezer so....

Sa - chicken in black bean, pork char sui, sticky quorn with noodles and rice (frozen - all odd single portions)
Su - lamb shanks (f), Yorkies (f), roasties, veg (f)
M - meatballs (f), mash (f), peas
Tu - quorn nuggets (f), wedges, veg (f)
W - burgers (f), chips, salad
Th - lasagne (f), salad
F - chicken (f) tikka, rice, onion bhajis

Soups for lunch. It should be so empty by the end of the week!

Wishiwasrunning2 · 22/06/2019 18:17

@Sn0tnose I envy you. My DH wouldn't know how to cook that. Sounds yum.

LLOE7 · 22/06/2019 18:18

Skinandbones · 22/06/2019 18:18

Couldn't be bothered today so homemade Minestrone, ds doesn't like it so he's doing a chicken and pasta.
Pork dinner tomorrow
Lamb kebabs, lots of sides
Big get together on Tuesday so takeaway
Chicken traybake
Chinese mince with noodles.

Abrahamkin · 22/06/2019 18:58

I saw this thread and got inspired to finalise my meal plan

S: Indian lentils
M: Italian style beef stew
T: Stir Fried pork with ginger and honey
W: chicken satay skewers with couscous
T; trout (with salmon and soy dressing) with rice
F: oven baked risotto

All except the trout from the bbcgoodfood website. Trout from a thread on here a (long) while ago.

Skinandbones do you have a recipe for the Chinese mince with noodles? I chucked some left over taco mince in my stir fry the other day and loved it but it wasn't quite the right flavour for an Asian dish!

Wednesday - Greek marinaded Lamb skewers with rice and Salad

boomboom1234 · 22/06/2019 21:09

Sunday - tortellini in a homemade tomato 'soup' with Parmesan
Monday - beef steak noodles
Tuesday - jackets, sausage and beans
Wednesday - homemade mozzarella pizza
Thursday - gyoza soup
Friday - chicken curry and rice

Backwoodsgirl · 23/06/2019 12:05

@Mominatrix

It’s nice, not too strong, but a slightly sweet flavor.

You need a squirrel per person plus one for the pot, unless they are fat ones! It’s a little difficult to butcher. We skin them and then stew them, much easier to remove the cooked meat
