Swimwear / underwear for those of who don’t wax?

I don’t wax my bikini line, haven’t done for years and don’t intend to start again. I also haven’t worn a swimming costume for years.

I realise that the sight of a female pube can send onlookers into a panic - can anyone help me find reasonably attractive swimwear that covers the very tops of the thighs?

Same with underwear actually - seems anything attractive is designed for women with no pubes. Surely pubic hair is not so vanishingly rare that there’s no need to produce underwear that covers this region? I mean, normally I wear underwear that doesn’t cover it, but it would look much nicer if it took pubic hair into account.

You want a 'leg suit' (or legsuit).
Or can wear a bikini / tankini top with "men's" jammers on bottom.

I have this one, I like it: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0786L3C6V

You can buy bikini/tankini with tiny little shorts rather than the usual shape.

As for underwear, even boxer short type would be tricky as the gusset seems to be ridiculously minuscule unless you go for granny pants.

Like these . Not particularly fancy, but just so you get an idea of the bottoms

The term is boyleg if you want to google

AlyssasBackRolls · 31/05/2019 18:20

Yup one with "boyshorts" or if on hols I favour a frilly little skirt on a bikini which looks cute but actually covers a shedload of gussetry. Floozie at Debenhams do some lovely ones.

SinkGirl · 31/05/2019 18:23

Thanks all, will have a search.

I was on ASOS and there was not one swimming costume or bikini that had shorts / boy legs. Sign of the times I guess.

I’ve got a sports one but it would be nice to have a more attractive one for holidays.

SinkGirl · 31/05/2019 18:25

Thanks all - that Surfdome one is lovely.

I’m not sure that pink one would effectively hide my thunder Grin

I wear a cheapy sports direct one for proper swimming - in fact their boyleg suit is very popular with the serious swimmers

Grumpiestcat · 31/05/2019 18:27

I've got boyleg ones from Amazon on many occasions.

romeoonthebalcony · 31/05/2019 18:29

there's usually a line with a swimskirt which does the job too I think?

SinkGirl · 31/05/2019 18:31

Sometimes the skirts and long enough, but most I’ve seen don’t really cover that region sadly!

Finding some nice ones now, thanks all. I do love the one posted above but not sure I’d wear it often enough to justify the price!

Asos suits don’t tend to be for swimming, just sunbathing. Need to look at Amazon - boyleg / shorts are a popular style in Asia so it’s one product Chinese companies do really, really well.

YourSarcasmIsDripping · 31/05/2019 18:37

There's various colours and styles. The pics were just examples. Ebay has loads and the prices are quite low.

SinkGirl · 31/05/2019 18:39

Sarcasm I know, I was just kidding. I do like the chevron one :)

Check out simply swim or pro swimwear leg suits ... Obvs not the racing costumes as they are mega bucks.
My eldest daughter wears a fun knee suit (older teen) and my middle daughter wears a normal cossie with some cycling shorts on top. For bikini I think she's wear cycling type shorts and a bikini top. Youngest still happy to wear normal cossie.

Dippypippy1980 · 01/06/2019 08:11

Board shorts - look cool and you can get them in all sorts of lengths and patterns

Go for a female's too- be it bikini or tankini and buy men's tighter bottoms. They have much more coverage.

We swim fairly often and I'm seeing more and more Muslim women swimming with their families with long leggings and long tops on. You can buy suits designed for religious modesty too.

WeedsAndMoss · 01/06/2019 08:18

@Dippypippy1980 where are those shorts from?

Chasingsquirrels · 01/06/2019 08:24

Is this what you want OP or what you think you should wear?
I don't do anything to my bikini line and wear normal bikinis and swimsuits, yes there can be hairs showing but wtf would people be doing looking there anyway - it's no like I'm lying legs akimbo - and even if they are then how could it possible be something that causes them offense, just don't bloody look!
However if the line in your OP about it sending onlookers into a panic was said in jest and it's just something you are looking for then fair enough, some nice ones posted here and you now know what you are looking for.
