I am going on a hen do in June - it's in Spain and I've been told we're going for a night out at a well known restaurant and I need a 'nice' outfit. The people I'm going with are effortlessly glamorous and slim.

I am not very confident anymore and I have recently being trying to break out of my 'buy big jumpers and jeggings' to wear every day. I realised that my wardrobe is almost exclusively 3 plain colours. I've been buying printed things and dresses to try and spice things up a bit but I have real body issues in that I'm probably about 4-5 stone overweight after having dd and I'm not happy. I am losing weight but I'll never lose enough before June. I've been trying to find said 'nice' outfit, I just wondered if people thought this was nice, or frumpy? It is a totally rubbish description on it and I assume it comes without the belt. I do like the belt so I'd have to buy one separately I guess.

I just wanted to come on and say you look lovely in that dress. It's super flattering and you definitely don't look 4.5 stone overweight. I hope you can feel comfortable in it and have a lovely time away.

I'd go with whichever shoes are the most comfortable, your current ones look fine....

Ohyesiam · 22/05/2019 22:27

You look fantastic in it!

Candleabra · 22/05/2019 22:39

You look lovely, very stylish.

madeofstarlight · 22/05/2019 22:42

You look amazing in that dress!

foreverhanging · 22/05/2019 23:01

Thank you so much, all of you. I was so worried about this hen do - I've really lost myself after having dd - I had pnd and I put on so much weight and it's really shaken me. You've all given me so much confidence.

I find it impossible to believe you are 3 stone overweight in that dress. You have such a good shape.

mineallmine · 23/05/2019 08:13

I've just ordered it. What size did you order? I ask because you said you could have sized down so wa that because they're big fitting or just that you over sized yourself?
You look absolutely fabulous in it!

foreverhanging · 23/05/2019 09:00

It isn't massively big, but it's got a stretchy waist so if I'd got a smaller size it would have been a bit tighter. But then I do wonder if I would have actually fit through it!

Atalune · 27/05/2019 20:41

That’s a really gorgeous outfit!

I think if you lost 4/5 stone you’d look unwell! You look really beautiful! Don’t do yourself down.

Your outfit is lush, have a great time.

chuckyeggtimestwo · 27/05/2019 20:46

@foreverhanging - I recently discovered I am 5.3 after thinking I was 5.4 for years, so I know how you're feeling.
In my head I'm still 5.4.
