Possible lost Tampon

I've name changed for this

I think I've got a tampon wedged up my foof. It's 10 days since I started my period but still been getting watery/bloody discharge, and quite a lot of it, which isn't usual at all. I also feel a bit itchy down there.

Thought I'd try the old natural yoghurt on a tampon trick in case it's thrush but really didn't feel comfortable so gave up. Had a poke around and think I can feel something. If it is a tampon it's been in there for about a week.

I'm horrified. I'm going to have to go and have it retrieved aren't I?

How did I manage to do this🤦‍♀️

I’m practical and no nonsense but there’s zero chance I’d go fishing for a lost tampon for a friend! That’s a job for someone you’ll never see again.

JESUS FUCKING CHRIST I would not do that for a friend. I woudl be directing them to the nearest HCP and paying for a taxi but I would not be fucking fishing about in their vaj for a stinking, rotting tampon.*

I'm fine, although the experience was actually a bit painful and unpleasant. It was pretty high up and I tensed right up. It was ummm a bit whiffy when it came out. My 3yr old DS had to come in the room (sat by my head looking at phone). He announced 'pooey what is that smell' whilst holding his nose. I wanted to laugh and cry all at the same time

There's not a chance in hell I'd have asked a friend for help. I'm fairly certain it would be a firm no anyway.
