I liked the lighter colours but worry of transfer colour from clothes?

First in red. I think a small bag should be more fun. It’s not really for everyday practical is it!
I have a very light bag and yes some clothes do transfer colour to it!

I’ve always bought expensive bags in dark colours for that reason. Decided to get a mulberry in a light coral/peach colour for summer this year, wore it to work once and somehow got big black marks on it. Didn’t notice til I got home...omg that was a horrible ten minutes until I managed to clean them off! So I’ve learnt my lesson, I think I’m going to stick to the darker colours as I don’t like to baby my bags, I like to use them often and get my money’s worth.

I am going to get one in a mushroomy-taupe colour though, as I’ve had an Anya Hindmarch in that colour for years and it still looks brand spanking new. It’s a great colour and goes with everything.

Agree on red being a great option - another great colour that actually goes with a surprising number of colours.

Ok I’m back! I’m on holiday in Bologna atm and if any of you have been I’ve just done the 666 porticoed walk. KNACKERING is not the word. Now sitting in Simoni eating Bresaola and drinking wine. Hopefully the LV shop will be open - most shops are almost always closed it seems

Envious of your plans to buy an LV. I have so many bags on my wish list that it will take me a while to work my way round to buying one at that price. I’ll probably become some kind of anti-materialistic, minimalist person before I manage to save that much, too!

Good luck and hope you find the shop open! You might also find that neither of the bags really speak to you when it comes down to it - you might find something else that calls your name!

I prefer the branding thing on the first but the stitching on the second. I’d go for a different colour as well, I don’t like black much.

Feeling much more relaxed now after my walk although my trusty Birkenstock’s have given me a blister on the ball of my right foot. Never happened before and I’ve had these years!!

You should not have to justify it, and it really irks me when people get sanctimonious about spending on something that makes you happy. But the hypocrisy and the inherent misogyny of it (how often do people berate men for spending on football tickets, or cycling and gear, or on other expensive hobbies or interests??) irks me even more.

So good on you, and on your other half, for coming to an equitable and absolutely fair arrangement.

Anyway, having looked again, I’d actually go for the first one. But it’d definitely be in red for me.

I’m partial to the chevron quilting so went for that to begin with, but I think I’d get a YSL clutch for that instead.
