Sorry to post here, just need some practical advice really I'm posting on behalf of a friend. She's booked in for a surgical abortion in a weeks time however she has no childcare for her existing 2 year old ds, also no one to take her to and from the hospital after. I live about 45 mins away and I don't drive so I'm usless to her, does anyone have any advice on what she could do?
Thanks

Does your friend have to have a surgical, is a medical abortion an option? No early start, generally less time at hospital and no GA to recover from

Look, you’ve had loads of options spelled out. None of them suit you apparently. What do you hope to gain from this thread?

Some of the advice has been helpful actually, I didn't make this thread to be personally attacked I was just looking for some advice

OP i think your a good friend ,hope she manages to sort it seems that a babysitter and taxi is the only way.

id ask the childminder again, she can fit him in for an emergency im sure. maybe your friend wasnt clear enough how much help she needed. or book a babysitter or another childminder (the current childminder will prob have a friend she sees regularly that will know the little boy)
