I can't sleep. And I have a stupid song stuck in my head. It's given me a headache and painkillers aren't doing anything.

Oh bless him flapjack hopefully it will sort itself out soon so horrible for him and you
Have you had to up his meds at all?

Tootyfrooty35 · 26/03/2019 04:32

Another pregnancy insomniac here. Got up to use toilet and that'll be it for sleep now.

@absolutehush congrats 😍 three days old 😁 lush, can't wait to get this bump to be a baby on my boob 😂hope lo settles soon, I bedshared with no2 from birth and feeding him lying down was a game changer. He was a chunk and a half so I wasn't worried but helped me get a teeny bit more sleep. I know it's not for everyone though but better to plan to fall asleep safely with your little bundle ❤️

Nogodsnomasters · 26/03/2019 04:41

fearybeagle (apologies for spelling mistake) you have my utter sympathy as I'm in the same boat as you minus the baby, thank god mines 4 and out for the count, I am in so much pain I cannot sleep and this is the 2nd time in 2 weeks ive had this.

I am just debating whether to give rescue meds . Did that last night also but didn't really help.

Whatnextfred · 26/03/2019 05:39

I bought a gravity blanket at 3 am out of sheer desperation. Waking between 1 and 3 for weeks and never get back to sleep. It's breaking me

WithAllIntenseAndPurposes · 26/03/2019 06:46

What is a gravity blanket please

fairybeagle · 26/03/2019 07:29

@flapjackfairy I'm so sorry to hear that it must be so tough. I hope the tea warmed you up at least. (Also freezing in the Midlands).

@Nogodsnomasters oh god it's awful isn't it! I really feel for you and hope you are feeling a little better this morning!

I managed to finally sleep not too long after posting but then up again at 5:30 with little one. So tired!

flapjackfairy · 26/03/2019 07:58

Thanks Fairybeagle. Cool name btw x

absolutehush · 26/03/2019 08:30

@Tootyfrooty35 I'd happy co-sleep if I could! But lying next to me is unacceptable to her! It has to be ON!
Will try lying down feeds. She's gorgeous though!

Good luck with your bump!

Nogodsnomasters · 26/03/2019 09:20

fairybeagle not better in the slightest, gp is leaving another antibiotic perscription for me which I've to pick up at lunch time after speaking over the phone with her. How are you feeling this morning? I managed about 45 minutes sleep from 5am to 6.45am. I'm now in work feeling like I'm on deaths door.

Whatnextfred · 26/03/2019 17:31

Withallintents it's a weighted blanket that is supposed to help with panic attacks/anxiety/depression/insomnia

SneakyGremlins · 26/03/2019 17:58

Hope people are feeling better now!

I cried at work 3 times. Feel like I'm on the brink of madness. Haven't slept more than 3 hours in nearly two weeks

WithAllIntenseAndPurposes · 26/03/2019 20:34

@Whatnextfred that sounds great have you ordered one? Let me know how you get on

SneakyGremlins · 26/03/2019 20:52

Whatnextfred I'm sorry Flowers I really hope you get relief soon

brizzlemint · 26/03/2019 20:53

How do the gravity blankets work? I always kick off my duvet and sleep with it next to me not over me because I find it too irritating.

Whatnextfred · 08/04/2019 09:27

If anyone is interested I've had the blanket about a week and a half and haven't had one bad night....
