I can't sleep. And I have a stupid song stuck in my head. It's given me a headache and painkillers aren't doing anything.

Up and walking about like I have been every night for over 20 years with horrible restless legs syndrome. It is will take several hours and much walking before i can go back to bed at about 6am. In the garage smoking ...... Walking in circles.... Big fleece blanket around me over big fleecy dressing gown and wearing sheepskin slipper boots. You can imagine how attractive I look, quite a catch...😁

MyGastIsFlabbered · 26/03/2019 03:14

Wide awake here too.

Alexthekid · 26/03/2019 03:17

I'm awake now with little chance of going back to sleep (drank caffeine too late in the day yesterday)
I've got loads of work to do today to tie things up before I go on holiday.
Should I...
A. Just get up, get a shower and go to work (I have keys and work very flexible hours)
B. Lie here mumsnetting and kidding myself I'll go back to sleep until I eventually get up in a few hours and kick myself that I should have been working all this time and spend my day tired and trying to catch up anyway?

Talk about all human life is here !
Some are up with pain and sickness (hope you feel better soon ).
Some are revelling in new motherhood ( many congrats)
Others are desperate to be pregnanr ( good luck ).
Others are scared stuff in case they are ( hope it works out for you ).
I am up watching my 4 yr old having seizures ( complex epilepsy ) . It is the 3rdnight 8n a row so beyond exhausted now. Oh and freezing cold. In fact I have just put heating on and think I will put the kettle on next. It is a v cold night here in the midlands !
Hope we all get some rest at some point.

Aww Mumin I'm very jealous!!! Would love to be woken for snuggly stretchy newborn cutness
Sadly I'm in agony from having my laparoscopy yesterday. Don't think it's wind pain just where they've scraped away in my womb 🤢
They sold it to me as a relatively pain free and serene op!
Lies!!!!

I'm up feeding our third baby. 7 weeks now and my second night flying solo with dh away on business - he's in a completely different time zone so he feels very far away. So unbelievably tired. Trying not to feel jealous of all his sleep.

WithAllIntenseAndPurposes · 26/03/2019 03:58

Aww flapjack do you have a boy or girl?
I've never experienced this as a parent but my best friend did and she never complained but did say how full on and draining it is
Have the fits increased? Is there a trigger at all?

Leafy2018 · 26/03/2019 03:58

Hope the pain subsides @WithAllIntenseAndPurposes Thanks

Freezing here in the Wild West too, just gone back to bed under my duvet but it's not toasty enough.

He is a boy. He has one of the nasty epilepsy syndromes so v complex needs. He goes through good and bad phases with no real pattern to It so this is pretty much normal. Thanks for asking Withallintense !

absolutehush · 26/03/2019 04:12

Up with my 3 day old. My milk has just come in and she's been refusing all night. Finally just got her to feed but she's refusing to sleep anywhere except on my chest, face down.

I'm so tired but I'm worried about unsafe sleeping so will need to stay awake! Arrrrrrgggh.

Oh and my boobs hurt.

WithAllIntenseAndPurposes · 26/03/2019 04:25

Absolute go on the basis website for safe co sleeping advice
Would be much better to lie facing her with your arm in an arch around her with her level with your breasts as long as no bedding can go over her
