Reborn babies

Have a massive yearning to purchase a reborn baby but wondering how to manage potential piss taking / accusations of weirdness or mid life crisis jokes. I know on an intellectual level that I should say bollocks it's my money and my life but am wondering genuinely what people think about women with reborn babies?

What's a reborn baby?

The breathing thing would freak me out, DD got a Build a Bear Pikachu for her birthday, and we both decided that giving it a heartbeat would be too weird.

My mother would love one of these! She loves babies but dislikes them when they begin to grow up into people, hence farming us out to boarding school and kicking my siblings and me out at 16. She'd have avoided a lot of disappointment if she'd bought one of these things.

blueskies I don't disagree with you. Personally I find them a bit creepy, they are remarkably lifelike but they are essentially plastic dolls. But in a care home they are a really valuable aid BECAUSE they are so lifelike, and it's very sweet to see the ladies cuddling and cooing over them.

Is there really no way you could have a pet, OP? Not even an indoor cat? It seems like you need something to love and a pet would give you so much more back than an inanimate object.
